I get a message every once in awhile that says:
Your connection had temporarily been restricted from this realm. Please try and log in at another time.
Funny part is, I have not used any hacks. Also this "ban" seems to be short (Less than a day). Anybody know why this happens every now and then?
Full Disclosure: I did use Maphack back in 1.09 for a bit, but I can't image that is the reason now?

Sounds like an anti-botting measure that's been implemented. If you create games too quickly while mfing or hunting DClone or whatnot, you get a temp ban. Easy fix is to just wait 10-20 seconds between exiting previous game and creating new one, or spend more time in each mf game.

Changed from what i had to say before.. you wouldn't of liked it. Now you get the temp ban msg. Some info for you would be not to go around accusing people of using maphack when u have no idea what the hell your talking about. This game is seriousely starting to piss me off everyone is so incompitant... Im not talking about u perceval.. just everyone today from my clan is accusing me of stealing an accnt when it's impossible because i was on my accnt in game with 3 members when it happened. I'd rather have someone tell me they use it than lie to me and hide it.
Actually, many people from these forums have admitted to using MH and they aren't thought of any less.
You get this message from entering and exiting games too quickly. It has nothing to do with usage or non-usage of hacks.
It happens when simply muling. Why Blizzard does not allow unlimited stash space I will never understand. Their databases must be filled with millions of characters named "Unique_Boy" "Rune_Daddy" and "Dookie_Sets"
Sorry. To answer your question you did not get banned. Like someone mentioned, wait 20-30 minutes before trying to connect to Bnet. Each time you try to connect and get the same message, the more time it takes to get back on....so wait the full 30 minutes.

Oh i'm feeling nice this morning.
TIP: If you get the ban msg, disconnect your isp, so that your IP is changed, then you won't get the msg, that's what i do. If you have cable connection and can't change your IP, well don't just kill Pindle, or meph, try killing a few bosses in the same game.

speak for yourself, i see cheaters in the games i play online, these people wreck a community of legit gamers.
they always have some lame excuse when they caught, and believe me, they do get caught. ... eventualy.
but the tables are turning now, more and more game developers are implementing cheat detection software on there servers.
name and shame em ... once a cheat, always a cheat.

And some people learn from thier mistakes and quit cheating. For him to say he used maphack in 09 is being truthful and he didnt mention that he currently used it. So I think that kills the "once a cheat , always a cheat theory:

This is just plain ignorant. Perhaps we should also sentence all convicted criminals to full life sentences no matter what the crime is. I mean, they'll never learn their lesson or change their ways, so why give them a second chance...
