Sorry for the most idiotic post ever.
No its not. By my precise calculations it's only the 83rd most idiotic post ever. You still have a ways to go. (82nd on the list, just ahead of you, is a movie review over on the off topic forum of "War of the Worlds". The reviewer claimed that when Tom Cruise entered Boston early in the fall season that the aliens were dying "because it was cold there, or something like that")
But... i'm just interested into knowing what exactly is the classic version of Diablo 2? You call it a "version" so you must know something about this forum (for example, this could be a forum that discusses classic builds or gameplay styles). Actually, some people call diablo1 the "classic", but its best to just call it diablo1, although I think there were versions called Hellfire and something else that were some sort of mods, never played them.
Classic is not LoD, expac, expansion, Lord of Destruction, actV. Its the 4 act version that came out in June 2000 with patches 1.01 thru 1.07 or 1.08. LoD came out on June 29th 2001 or so. Classic is also called regular diablo2, and on the ladders "Standard". If the game is called Lord of Terror, thats classic. When you install D2, I'm pretty sure that you have to use the classic install disk still, before you can install files from the expansion disk.
There are tons of people playing classic diablo that are unaware of the existence of the expansion. They usually find out within a few weeks of getting ahold of the game disk from some friend while playing. This may be you. Without any documentation or a battlechest game box it can be a black box.
Oh i see, thanks for clearing that up.
Just was a bit confused what it was...
