Alright, this is his setup currently:

Lvl 76

Str 183 (247 with items)
Dex 88 (154)
Vit 145 (150)
Eng: 10 (12)

with 44 stat points remaining

Life is 980, ~2000 with BO

Gear:

Arreats (clean)
Cat's Eye (going for highlords currently)
Naj armor (also have Duriel's)
Ravenfrost
Rare ll% ring (can be changed I think)
Nosf. Coil
Gore Riders
Dracul's Grasp
Flamebellow
Doombringer
On switch two +3 bo weapons

Skills:

20 Frenzy (25)
20 BO (30 with Battle command and weapon switch)
7 Double Swing (12 with +skills)
3 Warcry (6)
1 in pre req, nat. res, leap attack.

20 points still available (no points in mastery yet, since Im not sure which weapons I should aim for)

Resists in Nightmare:
All 75, cold 70.

about 3700-4100 ar
2600 def
Damage is 6xx-16xx, 5xx-2000

I haven't started Hell yet, but doing quite alright in Nightmare.
I'm wondering which weapons I should go for, thinking of making an Oath runeword, but not sure in which weapon.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Please keep in mind that this is Ladder, and I just started from scratch, so no Last wish/ BOTD/ etc... ;)
I dont need to 1 hit kill everything in hell, just wanna PvM in a good manner.

Also, if someone could tell me how much FHR I would need to reach which breakpoint, that would be appreicated.
And IAS in frenzy, Im not sure I understand how it works, with one weapon not affected by off weapon IAS etc. So if you post suggestions for weapons, IAS needed for them would be very helpful too.

Thanks.

I'd suggest investing heavily in warcry for the stun duration, since early ladder-crap weapons-long fights.Stun effect would buy you a lot of time for your budget tools to do their work.

As for the weapons-Oath would be nice-zeker would be great for that or a balrog blade(which are easier to find)

Also consider Treachery armor-the venom & ias is juicy-so you can put on strings for dr or IK belt for resists instead of coil. :)

I think hal's guide has fhr tables.

To be honest I think calling Flamebellow/Doombringer combo 'early ladder crap' is a bit judgmental... ok so they're not uber rune words but those rune words just make EVERYTHING look terrible, they're so over powered. :p

I think if you're hitting for up to 2k damage you should do just fine in hell, considering how fast you'll be swinging those swords most monsters wont last long at all except for maybe act 4/5 8 player games but then you'll have your party helping out so everything should drop pretty fast.

Putting points in a mastery is a good idea IMO, since you will get the critical strike bonus which will increase your damage potential even more. Some people consider the bonus' from masteries obsolete with synergies but I think they're still worth it.

eh, if he attacks quick enough and knows the timing for recasting warcry then there are probably enough points into it, but a few more wouldn't hurt, to get it ~8-10 with items, but it can work as is

Frenzy barbs need extreme amounts of vitality, even with dracul's life tap

aim for at least 200 minimum base, ideally 300 base

Well, right now, the warcry duration is enough for me, if I'll need some more, I'll put more points in there as I level.

Mastery will be maxed I assume, Im just waiting to know which weapons I'm gonna use before I put any points there.

I dont think I'll need more strength or dex, so the rest of my stat points will go to vita.

Will oath in a bezerker axe or a balrog blade be viable end game weapon? Sure there are those better runewords, but like Jarath said, theyre pretty overpowered.

Also, how are my resists? And how should I look to improve them? Charms I guess? Maybe socket my arreats with an Um?

I saw a guy using some cool looking swords that stood out. He showed them to me and they were dual 'Oath' Cryptic Swords.

Don't know anything about their breakpoints or usefulness, but it might be a good option. Plus they look cool and different

oh yea, didn't notice this and need to mention it

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM DOOMBRINGER AND FLAMEBELLOW

firestorm is annoying and weaken screws up lifetap

I've gotten through Hell with dual lightsabres, don't fret too much over weapon quality, just make sure you hit fast and don't have annoying useless CTC stuff like weaken or firestorm

Youre right, they have been messing with my life tap :)

Dual lightsabers you say? Well, that might work, at least for now.

By the way, what about Oath? IIRC it has CTC bone spirit or some such.
