Lvl 30 charger Questions

I'm going to make a lvl 30 charger tonight, with a lvl 30 lance i found, rare Eth, 150% ED with 1XX ar and some LL(doesnt matter that really), it has 100 stre and 88 dex requs if i remember wright, and 100-427 DMG.

I'm planning to use Sander Boots + Gloves, 3 Sock Light plate with 57life(Not socketed yet), a 3 Sock Crown(Not socketed yet), Angelic Ammy + Rings, and bladebuclke belt. Might use the Ama runeword armor for the +Crit ..
My concerns are, what is better for skills ? I'm only going to go for A5 normal, no PA at all. Max might rest in charge, or Max might rest in Vigor for more synergie ?
And for the sockets what shoud i socket in ? Res Runes or PRubies, or even PAmethyst and PEmerelad for stats?
I'll aim for 800 Life, think it will be enough to PK in normal.

Any advice is welcome, i'm lost with my chars anyways since i came back to D2, so many new runewords hehe.

Rooobies in the sockets. Definitely get the Zon runeword armor if at all possible.

Max Might, rest in Charge.

Use Bloodfist instead of Sander's Gloves.

I'd definitely try for eth upgraded snap over that lance, more damage no dex so more vita. Personally I don't like the zon runeword, lvl 2 critical is not worth the extra life/dmg (+ I prefer insight part).

If i had an eth Bonesnap i would use it for sure, if i'm using this equipement it's because this is what i got. I use sanders gloves because i have those and i prefer using my Bloodfists on lower level chars :) .

IF you are on europe i'll take your eth bonesnap np :), it will serve well.

Guess i'll be going for all Perf Rubies in Helm and Armour sockets.

And i won't have to invest many points in dex, since 10 come from angelics bonus and 10 from boots, and about 30 from charms. I don't have many life charms, and after all it's a PK not a dueller, don't need extreme life.

As a person who has made two level 30 Chargers this seasons i'd like to impart some wisdom.

First of all, dont use a Bright red light plate, thats a dead givaway. You said your 57 life light plate had no sockets? that means it will get 1-2 sockets. What you need is an Artisans light plate of life...even then, it will be Bright red and people will know you're a pker a mile away.

I would stick to a 4 socket gothic/full plate/ornate armor. To elimate redness from p rubies, First socket a Max dmg jewel, then 3 p rubies.

At you're level, you will be able to wear artisans helms. Shop Hell charsi until you find an artisans great helm or artisans crown. When you put 3 rubies in it, it wont turn red.

As far as skills go, Max Might first, then put the rest into Charge. If you like, put 1 point into salvation for Dueling Elementals (your high level sorcs, trappers, ect)

Instead of using blade buckle (bladebuckle has +15 stats which = 45 life to a paladin), Use a Plated belt of the Colossus. That will give you 60-80 life, which will be more beneficial.

The Peace runeword (+2 crit) is a good idea if you want a chance to do a bit more damage but loose overall damage and life. Maybe use that for pking, but a 4 socket armor for dueling?

Otherwise, looks pretty good.

my lv 30 charger had the following gear:

max crown. +15max is the best.
17fhr/max armor (3 max). best place to gamble lifers/fhr is nm a5 larzuk.
angelics rings.
angelics ammy.
tearhaunch.
IK gauntlets.
17fhr/6str/life/20cold resist belt
170% bonesnap:(

the charms however are support aim for lifers and max/ar/str-dex mods.

wheres your resist? your gonna get kill by elementals. i would use peace over anything 2x damage nothing can beat it lvl2 crit is still 25% combine it with insight for some more crit

Actually Sip i said i had a 3socket armor with 57 life, those that you buy at a merchant :), and it got 3 free sockets.

I'll try to buy a magical helm with 3 sockets free.

he was advising that your armor is red cuz of the life mod, and that wearing a 4os ancient (i'd choose that) would allow you to prevent its color from being red, meaning people won't quit when they see you, as often.

So what if the armor is red ?
Lvl 30 charger is ment to pk in Baalruns, and with the 10 sec timer everyone will know that i'm a pk before i can go down ...
The occasional killing in act5 on questing people will be very rare, althought would be kind of fun going to pk a few people doing the ancients. Anyway i won't use a 4 sock armor as it's too heavy, well only ones i've found where heavy.
Anyway i'll do a lvl 16 charger first to try some stuff, and get used to charge again. Cleg sword with max jeweln twitch Eth with max jewel, 3 sock crown with 3 max jewels, 4 sock pala shield with max jewels (ED% pala shield),hsarus buts + belt, cleg gloves, angelic jewelry. Sound good plan but i need some jewels before ^^ .

edit : By the way, from my experience, a year ago they used to quit on the hostile trigger, not when they saw me in a red armor. What makes them think you're a pk is the weapon that you use, and with no chicken hack people are rather lost when they hear that hostile sound ...

you sit there for awhile. once the tp to throne is up. you enter the wp and hunt. most people will sit there and kill monsters, others will leave. the people that will stay are the intended target. usually theyre too busy attacking the monsters.

so what? stick with artisan's _____ of mammoth or something which gives 3os/life to an armor. of course, some armor will only have 2. unless you find a godly rare light armor that gives life/fhr and 2os.

I should start giving charsi light armors to imbune, might get lucky :) (Or ethereal mauls)

best of luck.. ive tried that a long time ago.. never actually got it. >< i did however imbued a grand crown that turned out to be 2os, life, mana, fhr and other crap mods. sadly the life was too little and mana was useless.. -___-
