maggot lair crash

i decided to start a sorc on the new ladder and made it up to maggot lair. the game crashed shortly after level 2. so i restarted d2 over and over and it crashed in exactly the same place. so i made a new game. found maggot again. and it crashed a little into the first level. and repeatedly crashed every time i'd run to the same spot.

and what error message do you get?

actually, the first time it happened i was clearing the way with my necro and he crashed in the same spot too. no message. i'm on a mac and had to force quit when it froze.

And when your game freezes, does everything freeze? like the music, you can't alt tab out?

I just ran into this. No music and no alt tabing.

not sure what the mac equivalent of alt tab is. when it happens, the cursor changes from the D2 cursor to a normal cursor. the D2 cursor stays frozen on the screen while you can move the standard cursor around the screen but can't do anything. it stays like that until you force D2 to quit - command, option, escape.

but to follow up, i tried again a couple hours later with no problems.
