I'm about to start a lance barb in classic, just want to know the pros and cons and if they are still good in classic. :clap:

PvP
Pros: Nice speed, life and max damage, range.
Con: Gets owned by other 2 hand weapons(execs, martel) and 1 hand with shield. has low minimum damage, and you always get hit if your pure vit(u cant wear ornate and such) Low Ar w/o angelics.
PvM
Pros: Nice max dmg for LL an ML, also same pros from pvp
Con: low def that will always make monsters hit if you dont wear an ornate.
I just want a really good PvP character

Low Durability. Ive heard you can only WW like 10-15 times before you have to repair.

Stop bashing on lances. They are godly. Range 5, 2nd highest avg dmg in the game, cool look. Their durability is quite low but in pvp it doesnt matter and in pvm you wouldnt want to use a range 5 weapon anyway.
@physco: i dont agree with you.
My sub-par PvP speeder last season that used full ithara, pretty good rare rings and boots, hawkmail, and a 301 dmg lance did not have much trouble vs most barbs. Switch to angelics, gob toe and rattlecage and use your range.
Obviously you wont beat serious bvbs that uses nagas, but, to be honest, i beat twitch-sback bh bvbs on a regular basis. On some occasions the only damage i took was the dmg returned from s-back ^^

It's a PvP weapon, and unless you get triple dura, leave it out of PvM. Trust me.

Im not the best person at explaining this. Er, all i know is that lower range weapons hit a lot more times than a high range weapon, with ww.
If you dont beleive me try it out for yourself. Of course id rather have range 5 in pvp for more chances to hit if they dodge you.

Overall, Axe is said to be the best but since this is classic I beg to differ since what makes axes so good is the amount of rune words.
Lance is hella fun, and even I'm tempted to make one. But I might eb converting soon...the range sounds good for BvC though :P

I meant bvb head to head, catching each others ww. I dont evade much when i play bvb, since i lag a lot and even tho i evade it i get hit sometimes w/o showing in the screen. So for me tanking head to head iis what matters,which lancers doesnt do good. Also tried dueling an ornate barb w/o using angelics?
