Also, are you playing on the realms?
It is possible to find the keys in single player/TCP-IP/open battle.net, but it is not possible to use them there - talk about a kick in the face.

Do what? The figurative "kick in the face" is from Blizzard for enabling key drops in single player but not making it possible to USE them.

You could always use the MOD (dont know its name) that adds the quest, though Mephisto and Baal dont have their REAL AI files...
