Back from vacation, I discovered that my school signed a 10-year contract with Pepsi, and kicked Coca-cola out. I can't get anything Coke on campus anymore, be it vending machines, restaurants, etc.
So I did what every loyal Coca-cola follower would do, rant and talk mad crap about Pepsi.
And I got owned...the Pepsi vending machines ate my dollar, two freaking days in a roll...
ARRRRR, DAMN JOOO PEPSI!!! BURN!

Back in my days they got no soda machines in schools.

Now it's a way to make more fat American kids.

must be nice to have such petty problems. I'm jealous.

At my school, Surge used to be 25 cents a can. Now I don't even think they make it anymore. :(

at the auto parts store anti-freeze is just a few bucks a gallon, and it tastes like and is equally bad for you as surge.

I remember I used to love Surge. In fact, I probably still would if they still made it.

If I must drink pop I'm drinking spiced pepsi with bacardi on the rocks. I'd do other kinds of rum, but i drink so little rum that it's hard for me to justify buying another jug.

I do go through my vodka though...mmm bloody marys on sunday mornings...mm-mm-mm-mmh!

I am so off track on this thread....

I hate how my school only sold bottles of soda. A bottle is 2.5 times larger than a can and way more than I needed during Lunch.
You hear all the time on the news about schools "cracking down" and not selling soda anymore. Hey, guess what jerks? Selling only cans of soda is a happy medium, so DO IT!

And I am just about to rant about that! BAH! No, my school got rid of over half of its vending machines like ones in the obscure places like my theatre shop and such. Also, you used to be able to buy a bottle for 85 cents and now its a can for 75, just not right to me, less bang for practically the same price. And am I the only one who sees that the number of actual soda has gone down, majority of the machines are juices.

majority of the machines are juices.
Which is pretty much the same as pop without the fizz, juice really isn't that great for you.

I want my school to sell cans, the bottles are too big for me to drink during lunch(most other people too, excluding the big guys who eat too much to begin with) and we aren't allowed to have open containers in our lockers.

'cause ya know I would so totally put OMAGAWD DRUGS! in my pop that I can't have for another 3 hours(no bottles in class unless it is water and you are on a sports team)

Ohhh...you don't want to hear about my lunch experiences today. Let me begin upon entrance. My friends and i have been sitting at the same booth for the past two years. We have memories and attachments to that booth. We go to claim it, and the mentally challenged kids have taken it, and because they need to be chaperoned, we can't do anything about it. So we claim the two booths behind that one, and move on. My group gets our food, but the booth behind us was taken by ghetto kids. We needed two booths, so we picked up and moved on again, but before that, we went to get lunch.

This is where the true trama happens. My school make the most godly fries in the world. I have never had a better french fry in my life. I came to school today specifically looking forward to my fries. And now they cost $0.25 extra for a smaller portion than normal because, and I quote, "it made the fat and calories numbers look better." I understand there are overweight people, but that's not the school's damn fault! I need that grease and fat. Not everyone is huge! Don't hurt the majority to not even slightly help the minority.
Anyway, I get my fry-less lunch, and eat it ravenously. I mean I finished my chicken nuggets, potatoes, gravy, corn, roll, and milk off in under two and a half minutes. Next in line for my lunch routine is a small milkshake. I go to buy my milkshake, and they rose those prices a quarter. So now I pay an extra quarter for my small vinilla with rainbow sprinkles. I walk out, take one bite of it, and BAM!, I slip and fall. Mind you, I have incredible balance, so I never left both my feet, but guess what...I got some of my milkshake on my back. Yeah, milkshake on my back. On my way out of the cafeteria, I look at the vending machines...they all rose $0.25 in price! How the hell am I supposed to get my daily fix? Many days I went and bought food dduring the day to keep me going, and I do think it helped my grades out.

And that's just one period of my first day back to school. Don't get me started on the rest.

thats funny piff, and what makes the fries so good is the cheap grease that they use for a month after its supposed to be changed.

Ooo, I knew I forgot something.
We used to have Coke vending with cans everywhere, 60 cents a can, Coke, Sprite, etc. And now, bottles only, stupid Pepsi...

Man, i'd give my left nu...knuckle...to have some of the cheese fries that I ate every day for 4 years in HS. I haven't had them since 1986, but I can still imagine how godly they were.

Well, I remeber watching this video about orange juice, and how some of them contain oils and stuff to give it a good taste. There are however healthier juices that are good for you. If I'm not mistaken too, juice has a lower calorie content, which would help the overly obese people from hitting the ginormous mark.

I'm well aware. That's what makes them so amazing. Plus, their fries + their vanilla milkshake = the food of the gods.

Yeesh, Gatorade has plenty of sugar too, it's basically Kool-Aid, I don't know why everyone seems to think it's "healthy".
It only helps hydrate you more than water if you're running a marathon or something else extremely taxing.

Actual juice is good for you. 'Juice drinks' or whatever often have 5% or less actual fruit juice, and the rest is, well, the same preservatives, colourings, additives that go into any other soft drink.

Meh, pepsi products have a few more redeeming qualities than coke products in my eyes...Which makes me sad that my campus signed with coke...

Even 100% real fruit juice is sometimes made from fruit you'd never put in your mouth if you saw it.
Think mold and insects filled fruit. :cheesy:

I work in a passionfruit field, and I see what the boss sells to juice makers, hell, I think the synthetic juices are propbably healthier...

Besides, unless you make your own juice or buy the ridiculously expensive 100% fruit freshly squeezed ones, the juice you buy contains as much sugar as does Coke or any other softdrink.

Tssss the youth of today and their issues... *sigh* :p

What are you people talking about? Softdrinks? Juice? Pffffffft. No drink on earth eclipses chocolate milk in pure delicious goodness :D

(Okay, it may not be all that good for you...it does have "added flavour", something that always intimidates me after reading :

A typical artificial strawberry flavour, like the kind found in a Burger King strawberry milk shake, contains the following ingredients: amyl acetate, amyl butyrate, amyl valerate, anethol, anisyl formate, benzyl acetate, benzyl isobutyrate, butyric acid, cinnamyl isobutyrate, cinnamyl valerate, cognac essential oil, diacetyl, dipropyl ketone, ethyl acetate, ethyl amylketone, ethyl lactate, ethyl methylphenylglycidate, ethyl nitrate, ethyl propionate, ethyl valerate, heliotropin, hydroxyphenyl-2-butanone (10 percent solution in alcohol), alpha-ionone, isobutyl anthranilate, isobutyl butyrate, lemon essential oil, maltol, 4-methylacetophenne, methyl anthranilate, methyl benzoate, methyl cinnamate, methyl heptine carbonate, methyl naphthyl ketone, methyl salicylate, mint essential oil, neroli essential oil, nerolin, neryl isobutyrate, orris butter, phenethyl alcohol, rose, rum ether, Greek-y-undecalactone, vanillin and solvent.

Good book. I encourage it to everyone.
