Okay, I was fooling around in pub dueling when my hotkeys messed up, they were all in ONE row. See image link.

I see this blank square called kick, and I hotkey it. As you can see it does stupidly little damage. At this point I apologize if this has been mentioned before, but the search function yeilded only Assassin Kicker information.

Looks like kicking a barrel.

So you opinion: is this some bug or just a hidden feature?

EDIT: Me and friend kick-dueling. I had to go on his account and hotkey it, since my copy of d2 has the messed up hotkey thingy.

It appears to be ias based, and can trigger proc effects. It itd's and kb's also. It also lags the game, presumably for only the person/people kicking. Sliding across the map is common. Most of the time, the kb effect will force the other person off the screen, but if they namelocked, you will appear to stand in place and kick at air. In reality, you've walked to the other person. It looks completely useless, but me and my friend did our test for kicks.

My guess would be its a bug.

So are you saying your hotkey skill menu is permanently messed up?

I thought the hotkeys were computer specific, I don't see how going on his account and binding some keys would give him the same skill.

It was probably part of the game, but they probably didn't include it in the final release. I mean, Blizzard already has the kick animation for each character (as you mentioned, when they kick a barrel), they probably planned on having it as an extra misc skill, similar to throw weapons, or unsummon.

My hotkeys messed up and all of the possible skills to select were on one row, so the far left side for my right-click skills was obscured. I noticed the blank skill icon and selected it, noticed "kick" and it's subsequent odd effects. It was discovered entirely by accident, appears appear useless, though it does provide some laughs.

Except replace "planned" with "implemented, then hidden" I guess. I don't think someone without my messed up skill keys can access this alone.
