I recently decided to give crafting a try. Used a lvl 90 char, gambled an amulet, added ral pamethyst and jewel, and after several tries ended up with a +2 druid, 20 fcr, 6 res all amulet, lvl 89 req. So now I'm hooked.

Could someone tell me if I should be using a lower lvl char, and what is the lowest lvl that can craft a +2, 20 fcr, res all amulet?

+2 to class skills is a L90 mod. If you want to craft gambled amulets, the only way to know that you are crafting an amulet gambled by a clvl 90 character is to gamble until you have a +2 skills one and use that for crafting. A L93 character can craft any gambled amulet.

Gambling: ilvl=clvl-5...clvl+4 (randomly)

Crafting: new ilvl = ilvl/2 + clvl/2 (both summands being rounded down before adding).

A L90 character can craft any gambled amulet.
That should be clvl 93 there, or it makes no sense.

+2 skills are possible on 10% of self-gambled amulets at clvl 88 and then 100% of self-gambled ones at clvl 93. Monster drops can be used also, Baal amulets from clvl 82, diablo amulets from clvl 86, pit boss/minion amulets from 92, and then you're always good when using self gambled ones at 93 and on.
