what is the best wepon and sheild for a MF sorc? i have a gull and a wall of the eyeless sheild ( i think that is what it is) and by brother says that sheild is the best and my friend says the gull is best are they right?

For MF, I have a Gull dagger and a 4 Isted Monarch on switch, but that may be a little overdoing it. There is no best MF gear. You have to find a balance between killing speed and MF. For now, it looks like your Gull dagger is fine, although I'd rather use a Rhyme shield instead of Wall of the Eyeless. Keep something with FCR on your main switch so you can teleport safely.

'IstIst' Blade of Alibaba and 'IstIstIstIst' Monarch gives you the most MF at higher levels, while 'Ist' Gull and 'IstIstIstIst' Monarch gives you the most MF at lower levels (for weapon and shield), I think. But you should these on the backside only.

And why in the world would Wall of the Eyeless be the best shield? :p

Your brother never have a spirit or a storm shield before. That's all I can say. :lol: Probably not even a Lidless Wall. (damage is addicting, +2 skills on spirit is not something to be laugh at) These 3 shields are a lot better than the Wall of the Eyeless. Gull is decent, especially if you cannot afford an Ist Ist Alibaba.

gull or ali baba with rhyme, 4ist shield, or splendor.

tp'ing:
wiz spike, spirit.

general fighting:
eschutas, occy, hoto or death's fathom with spirit shield. if you are extremely rich and single tree, a +6 orb with +3 to your tree, +3 to that spell's mastery, +3 to that spell, and +20 fcr socketted with 2X 5/5 facets in the same element as your spell.

wiz spike, spirit or stormshield

Well... I can´t see any reason for mf-ing on non-ladder (everything is already find and duped * xxx :D )

On ladder though 2 Ist alibaba is still just a dream for most of players... I wouldn´t laugh at lidless - so far.

Doesn´t mattet - the question was not about ALL equipment but about a SHIELD and WEAPON.
Imo splendor is most balanced and easy to obtain. No high str requirements. Gull is ok but hard to find... well Gull IS the best alternative for people who still need some mf-ing but only as a switch for boss killing. In mass-clean areas the old good occulus is still an option (hate it but use it ;)). Wizzy is of course best when just tele (agree with Superhal 100%)
