Stupid classic question.

So yeah I play HCLEast on Expansion and I plan on making a classic char to rush for forge but anyways.
I hear hammerdin is all the rave, but I hate that stupid maggot lair.
But my main question is, what items are in here that aren't in expansion?
I don't remember at all, and any other viable rusher char builds anyone know of?

Well, a hammerdin will NOT be a good rusher at all. Undoubtedly the sorceress would be the best rusher. Since it will have to solo, dualmental would be best. Um, well there are a tonne of Classic differences. Here's some I can think of (We should SERIOUSLY sticky something about the differences):

Dex not required for Blocking.
Only Four Acts.
Only Normal Uniques and Set Items can spawn (not Exept/Elite)
No runes or runewords.
-20 Res in NM
-50 Res in Hell
HARDER.

Wow dex is required for blocking? ?? Then what is?
So only sets with normal items can drop, not exceptional?
I second the stickying of differences. so a meteorb sorc would be a good rusher?

Dex is required for blocking in the expansion. In classic a shield blocks by its absolute values, though I think it doesn't always work like that. Meteor is not a good spell to rely on Classic due to lack of good mercs to tank the monsters enough time. Most people go with Orb/Fireball, Blizzard/Fireball, Orb/T-Storm (althought I'm not sure abouth this one)

you don't need any dexterity for blocking in classic. If a shield tells you that it has 60% chance of block then you have 60% chance of block.

That's what I was told, though I still think my pally w/ Steelclash won't block 67% of the time. :confused:
