I'm messing around, and after looking at what characters I have active, I notice a random fact; I have one of each but two classes, a necromancer and a sorc {completly random, no jokes}. Even more so ontop of that, all of my builds are / were fairly standard builds from 1.09 {fury wolf / sword + shield ww barb / ect}.
So I feel that I might as well try to complete this chaos by adding in a nova sorc & a spirit/pnova necro {which wont be talked about here}.
Anyways, I've been looking at the skill planner and all the possible gear setups, and I'm hoping that someone here might be able to help me.
I'll state now that I'm pretty sure this wont be as effective as your other standard pvp sorcy's, so don't worry about that. If possible just try to help me get the best out of this setup.
Ideal skills to max;
~20 in nova
~20 in ts
~20 in mastery
^no brainers^
~possibly 20 in energy shield {I see that past 40 or 41 it just gains duration {capped at 95%}, which means I might just try to tweak with this one.
~16 or 20 in telekensis {not sure what the ideal cap is on this, and if +skills from gear work or not, any help?}
~rest in warmth for more mana recovery
The ideal gear I {hope} to use would be;
~griffons {facet}
~coh
~ss {facet}
~wiz {facet}, possibly hoto or occy, not sure what cast rate to go for?
~arachnids
~maras? Or a cast rate amulet?
~1x soj + 1x raven frost, possibly 2 sojs if i get a cham somewhere
~frosties or trang gloves? Again not sure on what cast rate to go for...
~cta & spirit on switch, +3 light skill circlet & amy & swapping spirit for whatever weapon gives most skills for prebuffing ts.
~anni & hf, 9x light skillers & 10x random sc's for good modes I guess.
So this comes to a few questions I had;
~What is the ideal cast rate for a spamable skill like nova?
~What %fhr should I try to go for?
Also a major question that I've been trying to figure out for a while;
~When prebuffing ts, would using a two socketed +3 light skill circlet with 2 5% damage facetes increase it, since its a cast and forget skill? Or would the facets from my gear work only when it attacks?
I wanted to have a 'pisser' switch, for just teleporting and abusing ts. I was hoping that % damage from a facet would both stack when casting it, and when it attacks, along with the -res, in such that I could use a +3 light skill circlet with 2 facets when casting ts, and use a griffons & say a 6 facet naga while attacking.
If not, I might just opt for an etheral 'cresent moon' rune word in some novel weapon.
Eh...to end this, as I said, i dont expect to do that well. I checked the damage, and before facets work in, my ts will be about 6k {prebuffed}, and nova almost 3k, so hopefully with a few facets I'll break some better damage...
If anyone could help answer a few of my questions, or point out some major error or fault, please do help :)
edits; I forgot to add my 2nd major question; would ith runes or facets be more ideal? I'm not sure what boots to use, possibly aldurs, but I know that damage to mana could really save my *** a bit in this build. Is there any % that I should go for, or just ditch that idea for facets?
