Hey All,

I have a lvl81 HC ladder Blizz sorc I have been using to do some mf on hell. I have been doing Andy runs, crypt/mausoleum/AT runs with much safety. My setup is as follows:

- 3 ptopaz death mask.
- Rare mf amu with mf ans some res.
- 2 rare rings with resist all.
- Rare boots with mf resist.
- Bladebucle (for fhr).
- Magnus skin (to complete fire res).
- Spirit bs.
- PDiamond Ward.
- Smoke mage plate (400 def).
- Charms for life, res and mf.

On switch I have gull+rhyme for last hit. This gives me 75 res all on hell, about 50% block :(, 730 life/350 mana, 73 fhr and 28 fcr (bad roll on spirit). Using a defiance merc i get about 2500 def.

I have been trying the big Meph lately, and I have had a couple of NDE's... scary at least. The problem comes on the way to Meph, not Meph himself. How do you think I could improve my safety while teleporting to durance 3?

I have been thinking on making a safety amulet to get better block, or switch spirit for wizzspike once I trade or find one, but that will get 35 fhr off my gear.

Any ideas?

One thing that saved my butt in HC million times, virtually 9/10 of scary encounters - was high block. I never went vita-only route in HC (now playing SC due to my crap lags and no time to rebuild every 2 weeks) - and high dex or nice dex + whitstans guard = life. If you have high block and life arouind 800-1000 you may never die unless you jump into stygian dolls cursed + might/fana pack + pack of Blood lords with mana burn and conviction :)

Hi. :) The Durance levels (and most Dungeons of the game, for that matter) were designed so that you just have to teleport/run around the edge of the map, in the clockwise movement, and you'll always find it easily. There also seem to be less monsters around the edges of the area.

block will actually slow you down. if your only goal is to tp past monsters safely, 105% will get you past them before they can "awaken" and try to attack you. if your tp is short, they might activate on the tp just before you get to them, allowing them to attack you. if they attack you and you successfully block, the monsters will get an additional 4-6 frames or so to get more attacks in.

plain, vanilla 105 fcr is the best way to tp through any level safely.

Makes sense, didn't thought in that way. Should I work with fhr recovery then, isn't it? I think so coz those huge-boys hit hard and put my little sorc in fhr animation, and in case they hit me I could get stunlocked...

try it with just 105 first, add more later.
