OK, my level 88 meteorb (Greer) has finally decided she needs some gear. As my first 1.11 character, she started from scratch and was wearing stuff like Hwanin's armor and other things you could probably upgrade just by shopping at the town store.

Last night, did a ton of Andy runs (safe and quick) and a Diablo solo kill and came up with:

Que Hegans
eth :( war travs
Lem
3 soc archon
Nats boots

and assorted other junk, which is what you can expect with an MF of 10 or so. I found a pul while leveling, so I made Enlightenment using the archon, figuring this would be great till I could get a ber and make coh later. After using Enlightenment for a while, I may scrap it and go back to Que Hegans for the fcr and energy boost. Put simply, I'm underwhelmed. I guess it's cheap armor, but honestly I think a decent vipermagi or Que Hegans is as good or better.

Wondered if anyone else felt the same way. :rant:

I may just unsocket and trade the 3soc archon.

The way up from scratch is hard. Farming Andy is good for trying to finds jewelry, but for items you better head for Mephisto in NM, Hell, and then you will start feeling better about the items you find.

Yep, just couldn't do Meph runs with zero gear.

If NM Meph drops Vipermagi I'd be a happy camper. If I up'd that I'd be fine till I can scrape up some uber armor. My cast rate still stinks, so hell Meph is still hard to get to.

farm nm meph. trust me. its worth it

I've found like 2 occy's and a viper magi... on like maybe 40-50 runs..

which would help you out a ton

definately go back and farm meph for a bit

i would make a wealth in that armor. if you are having trouble questing, go with lionheart.
