fo sorc

I've recently tried making a fo/meteor sorc for mfing, following one of the guides posted ("Vega's MF Sorc") but the damage I'm dealing with FO is shameful. I've maxed it as well as Cold Mastery, as suggested by the guide, but I'm not dealing too much damage at all. Is there something I'm missing? Better equips maybe? (Right now I just got on some +skills, a couple fcr, and some resists)

You can up the damage with items like nightwings and death's fathom, but the actual damage you're dealing is understated because of the way cold mastery works, cutting monsters' resistance to cold.

The fire tree looks much more damaging, but in Hell difficulty the fire resists of the stronger monsters are nullifying a lot of that damage. ;)

I've actually found orb easier to use than blizzard, because it hits everything.

Thanks for your help. I was wondering why nothing was statistically changing when I was putting point on Cold Mastery, but I was noticing slight changes in my damage, but nothing was actually changing. Thanks again!

You should'nt expect your damage to be nearly as close as that of a fire sorc or lightning sorc. If you reach around 1k wiyth orb, it is already quite good. You'll see that it is very effective, especially thanks to cold mastery.
Also, when you're good at aiming it, it can rip through bosses like nothing. :thumbsup:

well, compared to meteor, yes it's pathetic. however, vs multiple weaker monsters, fo should still be superior.
