Hardcore Solo PVM Builds..

Hi,

I haven't played classic since expansion came out, so I'm a total newb to classic on early patches.. especially with synergies on classic. I want to go back to classic on hardcore and I'm currently looking for a solo build that could handle it. I'm also looking for people to play with, on USEast if possible but I don't care to move to west..

I don't play hardcore since V1.00 single player. The only hardcore I had that went high lvl then was a Javazon. Things are much different now, but it's still the class I would venture IF I went hardcore. I hate the idea of losing a char to lag... :rolleyes:

Using a barb lets you jack up your life really high with the 4 HP/vitality point. I used to play hardcore and I lived the longest as a barb (javazon's not a bad choice either)

I'm wary of hardcore on battle.net for lag reasons. But in single-player I have a conc-barb that has reached 51, and is still doing fine. Also i've heard good things about the 'fishymancer' build in hardcore.

Well, this is not always too easy. You're going to need a character that cuts through immunities, while still maintaining enough power to kill monsters in hell. You'll also need it to be untwinked, right?

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is a dual tree sorceress. We had a topic on it earlier...

Another thing that comes to mind would be a Poison/Lightning Javazon, although I've never tried it.

Thoughts:
Summoner with 20 in BoneSpirit?
Hammerdin (grr, no fun)
Bone Necro
Poison Necro
WW Barbarian with Beserk (no ChaosSanctuary)
Frozen Arrow/Exploding Arrow Hybrid

Or you could make the fastest killing classic build in the game. (above hammerdin)

Theirs a catch though, its only effective at low player settings, whereas sorcs and hammerdins etc. can solo player 8 hell cs with relative ease. The build?

A bone//corpse explosion necro with summons as tanks, bone spirit to get that first corpse, and max corpse explosion with amp to destroy screens at a time.

20 bspirit
20 bone prison (synergy to spirit and BA)
20 raise skeleton (more than enough points to have sweet tanks, that can kill magic immunes//stubborn fire immunes that have Stone skin)
20 corpse explosion (with some + skills, and amped enemies, a cast or 2 can clear an entire screen of hell chaos sanctaury)
1 amp///utility skills

Very good for hccl considering you may wish to play solo when there arent chaos sanctuary runs up (cuz basically no1 plays hccl)

your very, VERY, wrong. A lot of people play HCCL (east) and theres cs runs up usually all day. Sometimes private though. Theres at least 1 cs up at a time running a full game and sometimes two CSes. I know for a fact because all I play is hardcore classical and nothing else. There are also about 8+ normal games up at all times. Cow runs are non-stop all day and you can find about 2-3 running at all times. Im talking USEAST.

I can vouch for Fred's necro build being totally awesome for cows. Had a blast using this in 1.09 cow runs. Not quite as ideal for CS but would still be quite effective.
