-This sorc is not going to have max block-

I have currently invested 65 stat points into energy making it 100. Im wondering if this is enouph or too little. She is going to be untwinked in the begining but she will mf andy and meph and hopefully get better gear. Im not sure how much to have, because the blizzard guide suggests 50-90, BUT their gear suggestions are impossible to get since i just started ladder.

Im also confused on how much str i shold have, im thinking in the 90s so that i can carry skulders and wear war traveles, but thats seems like a little to much.

Help please.

i think that's alot of points wasted... i have base ENG at 35, my mana is about 401 only at lvl 84, i have only 1 point in warmth, with total of only +3 skills, but i do have an INSIGHT (lvl 17 meditation, yay!) merc so i hardly run out of mana

400 mana is nothing...

Im hoping around +700

Since when does 1 energy give a sorceress 2 mana???

I thought it was 1:4?

Since you're not going the max block route, I'd go with base energy and increase str to 156 to wear spirit monarch. You'll also be able to use spirit sword so that's a huge mana pool right there. Add to this frostburns and you have a ton of mana (700++), while still easily reaching 63fcr bp (2x spirit can give you 50-70 fcr). It'll also give you a healthy skill, resist & FHR boost.

Yeah i cant believe only like 3 shields can have 4 sockets in them to make spirit.

thanks a lot

With two SoJ's and frostburns 1 energy is almost like 4 mana ^^.

The amount of energy/vitality depends on what level ES you are going to have,
if you have 75% energy shield you need 75% of it to be mana and 25% of it to be life. But you generally need life than that in PvM because of mana burners

you don't need max block for a blizz sorc, as this sorc is generally ideal for meph runs with the moat trick (and thus blocking is never used) or baal run support where tanks are generally readily available.

imho, you must have 156 str. all other stats are optional. with max vit, base dex and base nrg, it's relatively easy to keep your hps > mana with even the best mana boosting eq.

once you get an eq base, stats are pretty irrelevant. i ran through a base vit, base dex, base nrg sorcs without a hitch. fyi, it takes 400 dex to hit max block with a monarch spirit shield. :)
