I plan on making a strafeazon to lvl, run the pits, and just have an enjoyable time.

So far im planning on using:

"Harmony" In a -10 bow or 0 base weapon speed bow. In the -10 i only need 60 ias to reach a 2 fram strafe but with the 0 i need 86 but it does more damage. Since the RW doesnt actually add any ias, i think 10 speed bows will be unviable.

For armour i guess Treachery. The 45 ias is just sweet, along with ctc fade and venom.

Laying of hands: These gloves own.

Ok so thats already 65 ias. I may as well use a 0 base speed bow in this case. I think for helm i will use giant skull with 2X 15 ias jewels. That reaches the 2 frame break point with a 0 base speed bow, im thinking of a shadow bow.

For boots low mf war travs (if i can even afford)

And as for belt... razortail i guess

Standard stafezon skills.

I think im gonna be pure dex, to help make up for the low (ish) physical dmg on harmony. The elemental dmg and (my fav) vigor make up for it imo, and its dirt cheap.

I may as well use a 0 base speed bow in this case.


what do you guys think? any gear suggestion? (has to be cheap and harmony has to be bow, im in love with it)

Nice setup but the Angelics will become redundant since bowazons have such high dexterity anyways. Replace with Ravenfrost/Cat's Eye/Highlords/etc as soon as you can afford it.

yeah but where i plan to play there are no phys immunes: and i just am plain sick of light fury. Im going pure strafe regardless. Im poor, this is s3 ladder and... well, i have no life, but i dont play as often as some.

If you can lay your hands on a 4 socket matriarchal bow(and they are quite rare) at level 39 that coincides nicely with the level of the ko rune but the requirements are high.

Failing that I'd recommend any of the non amazon -10 speed bows. I rolled and rerolled a lot of these up in various weapons just before the season ended and the 200-275 ED% spread you get on creation tended to swamp the actual base damage of the bow type.

A blade bow is slightly lower average damage but can be used by an act 1 merc on reaching nightmare and the requirements of the great bow would mean a lot of patience levelling before you could use it. Both are 4 sockets maximum so use your first harmony then reroll for a better one when the runes start flooding in . :)

ill be using a shadow bow. Its base 0 but with my setup i reach over 86 ias needed for 2 frame strafe so its all good. Shadow bows base avg dmg is 37, which is pretty good. It also has low strnght req :)

instead of harmony, i'm using a lycanders upgraded to a grand matron, socketed with a shael rune. that gives it 40ias total on the bow. combined with cat's eye, treachery and andys i have 125 ias. i had 20ias on my kb gloves until i rolled a set with +2 passive skills, that has the knockback but no ias. i noticed with the +2 my knockback works better. weird.

i'm going to keep crafting the knockback gloves until i get +2 passive, 20ias and kb.
