Hey everyone,
I'm building a blizzsorc for MF farming meph / rushing characters / countessruns. I'd like to be able to tele through durance 2 without the fear of being 1 hit koed. I'm lvl 75 with loads of stat points (~200) to allocate.
My stats so far are:
Str - 53
Dex - 25
Vita - 105
Energy - 65
With my current items I hit 9 fps Cast, 8or 7 fps hit recovery , and have a Mosers Circle socketed with Eld / pDiamond. I have a merc with lvl 16 insight and can tele pretty nicely through NM duance (which is MASSIVE now) usually in under 1 mana potion.
I am wondering in what combination should I strive for % block , vitality or Energy Shield?
Thanks

I would go for all vitality just so I can survive more hits while teleporting through Durance 2. However, if you want a bit more blocking, it wouldn't hurt to stick a few points into dexterity. Keep in mind that if you switch your Moser's to a Spirit later, your blocking percentages will plummet.

You need 156 str for spirit monarch, the rest vit. I've put about 30 pts into dex also (since it was in first days of ladder and I found wizzy so I needed more dex). Anyhow I now have about 120 dex total and about 25% block with spirit, and 1250+ life.
You shouldn't put pts into energy shield at all! It'll drain your mana terribly fast without max TK so I wouldn't do it.
You should have dex for max block, and Mosers should be pretty good I think?
You definately need some dex anyway and try to avoid Vita, but its good for you of course it just doesn't benefit you as much as it could. Aim for dex for max block of a shield of your choice, strength for your highest item which 156 does sound pretty good, and NO ENERGY WHAT SO EVER.
Its good to go for block and avoid a hybrid of the two, but it may work! It has been tried of course :)

Mosers block isn't really the best for max block but you could try..
I wouldn't though

If Moser's isn't the best block, then what is?
Hrmm ok, I'm not positive that I want to use a spirit monarch, the Skill / stats are amazing but I think I could survive better if I had max block and use the str points into Dex/Vita. There are less str intensive shields out there as well.
What you think,?

Better blocking shields include Rhyme (made in Grim Shield), Stormshield, Visceratuant, and Gerke's Sanctuary. Moser's Blessed Circle requires more Dexterity for Max Block, but it gives you two free sockets and has low Strenth requirements, unlike the above shields. =D
If you do plan on using Stormshield or Gerke's Sanctuary, I suggest plugging in a 'X Jewel of Freedom' or a 'Hel Rune' instead of an 'Eld Rune'. Saves you more stat points (-%requirement saves you 19-31 Strength depending on the % and GS/SS, Eld saves you 21 Dex at level 99).
That is unless you are planning to boost Strength to wear other gear. Then 'Eld' probably might be better.
Small nitpick - a Rhyme Heater has 2% better block than the bony shields - takes 77 str instead of grim's 53, but if your sorc has 77+ str to wear armor anyway it's a wash.

More nitpicks
You missed Sanctuary
My personal fav
I like the FHR, but it may just be me
You cant beat shaeled (for block rate) Whitstan's Guard for a 75% blocking Sorc
u will need like 30 more dex to have 75% block with sanctuary in troll than with whistan (on 95 lvl char ) and it will be like 185 base dex with *** anni and torch
