View Full Version : My old school PvP trap-sin viable now?

In Patch 1.09 i played trap sin alot and i have decided to make one once agan on ladder.



I want to make the same type of trapper as before but im not sure if she will work as before.



My skills was



Max lightning trap

Max wake of fire

Max Shadow Master

Max Dragon flight

about 5 in burst of speed

rest in mindblast



With those skills i was able to take down almost every char becuse of its diversety.

If they had high lightning resist and wore thundergoods i could switch to fire as kill and a combination of both did

great.



But now with synergies im not quite sure if i should go single element trap or dual



What i had in mind was something like:

Max wake of fire

Max lightning trap

Max fire blast (synergy for both)

about 5 in burst of speed

1 in dragon flight

5 in shadow master

rest in mindblast



My gear:



Shako (if i can get my hands on one)

Skin of viper

3+ trap amu

Wizardspike

Stormshield

dual raven

magefist

waterwalk

thundergoods vigor



Im afraid that without full synergy my traps will not do enough damage so if anyone have experience with this

i would like to hear about it :thumbsup:

I doubt you'd deal enough damage without max synergies. The general consensus seems to be level 1 WoF for stun, and then kill with LS - simply ignore them if they absorb lightning 100%.

Dragon Flight has significantly changed between 1.09 and 1.10.

Don't max flight. It's a pale shadow of its former self. Better off pumping synergies.

I would say ur build is not viable. If you are looking to make a good trapsin that can play untwinked and have 3 elements of attack (fire, light, physical) check out jrichards excellent guide in the sticky. I build my asn around that guide for the ladder reset and currenly she is lvl 85 and can solo hell baal runs no problem.

if you want dual element go light traps and 1 pt in wof and 10-20 in fireblast, the damage in fireblast ramps up sharply and wof is usually enough to keep most ppl stunned to a slow death
