tempted to use fend for lightning javazon..questions

hey guys, lately i've been thinking that jab is not good enough for me to take out LI's..its just too slow and even with plus skills and if i put points into it myself, it just doesnt do enough, and the AR is horrible. i'm starting to consider fend, for the extra points, (+1 impale, +1 fend), it's more powerful than jab will everbe. im well aware of a bug, but is it still playable? i know lots of chargers out there, who dont mind the charge bug.
sorry for the rambling..lol can you guys tell me what you think?

Fend is bugged. Whenever you're "Fending" and Dodge/Evade/Avoid is triggered, the rest of the Fend misses. Meanwhile, monsters still beat up on you. Better stick with Jab.
