Sorcs whining and dying in NORMAL Baal runs

I was a level 25 with self-found crap gear, 200 life, 230ish mana, 40% block, NO MERC, NO FCR, and lag. The sad thing is I couldn't find a single game where it would not be a slow walk or the 5+ sorcs in the game would just stand in harrogath and not even attempt to teleport, giving lame reasons about being too weak. Actually a couple tried early on but somehow died, even though they were over ten levels above me. I finally just made my own baal game, fitted half my belt with greater mana pots and the other health pots, and teleported on my own. I have a really slow teleport, base in fact, and I was never in any real danger. I even survived packs of frenzytaurs. If I was lucky I would still have mana pots left when I got to throne but usually on lvl 3 I would have to tp home and buy some more pots which took all but 5 seconds. I did about 20 games like this without dying. All I have to say is that there are way too many n00bs on ladder right now or just idiots utterly prostrate when botless.

People just become helpless without their bots and they think they can't teleport unless they have Maphack.

I found this rather pathetic, I was in some hell baal 'runs' yesterday, I ended up RUNNING most of them even if there were 2+ sorc and a hammerdin or windy drooid in the game. Guess ppl can't deal with not using hacks to beat the system. :lol: Well thats disreguarding the fact that most of the 'runs' I was in lasted like 2-3 games. :rolleyes:

I think it's just a case of people being lazy, and only caring about the part of the game where they're level 80+ in hell, running around with primo-gear and pwning the heck out of everything. There's no real interest in being good in the early part of the game, that's just a phase you have to pass before the real fun starts.

And even now, with vendors selling mana pots, you still have these useless sorcs running around not doing anything, because they're out of mana. My new sorc kicked *** throughout normal, spamming frost novas and fireballs all the time. I kept about 25 mana pots on my char at all times :)

while tele'ing to baal this season with my sorc there were a few time where people were asking how I could do it. My response "I am a sorc I have tele", their response "but how can you do it without mh." All these people became so dependent on hacks that when they did that massive ban they all forgot how to play the game without em.

lol...I am a sorc and was in the same situation yall were talking about...I have never used mh or ne cheats except d2-cdkey ...I dont have teleport on my sorc b/c I made an enchantress for my other chars...I know, I know your like man wtf I have a lvl 14 fb and a lvl 11 met and I would still walk with the rest of the other chars to the throne...yes I would die b/c I did not put ne stats into life just strenght and mana...so if I could walk to the throne w/o tele and the other sorcs complaining about being too weak or they could not go I would not even send them a tp :lol: and neither would whoever else walked or ran down there....yes that was sry but u know, I am not complaining just a lil pissed about how everyone else is acting :lol:

I asked a hammerdin why he didn't tele and his response was 'I don't have mh'. Kinda sad state of affairs don't ya think. My sorc does FINE teleing in hell w/o using mh I see no point in actually HAVING a hack..it just ruins the fun. :uhhuh:

We're still at the start of the ladder so most people don't exactly have very good gear. And they are abit concerned about their exp aswell.

And you know, teleing around for others in a baalrun is voluntary. If I get killed in attempt, I'll lose exp+sometimes people laugh at me ("noob sorc" etc).

NOBODY EVER helped me get my body back.

So unless theres a barb with good bo I'll just stand in harrogath with others :p. Dont even care.

It has nothing to do with maphack (never used it, and never will).

It has nothing to do with maphack (never used it, and never will).Not only the loss of exp but the lag as well. Its amazing how bad I been lagging since the week before blizzard introduced the new patch :(

Here's the deal for those who think losing xp is the end of the world. For one, you DON'T lose XP in normal. In fact, you rarely die, or at least I haven't with my craptastic sorc. In nightmare, all you lose is a very small amount. I don't even notice that I have lost xp because I level so quickly in nightmare baal games and the speed increase by teleporting yourself and not waiting all day in harrogath really shows in your exp/time ratio.

Now for those who say nightmare is TOO hard for your sorc. I am level 72 now with my sorc, all from baal games I made myself. I got around 350 mana, 600 life (yea put those points in life baby), like 10% resist to everything, maybe 30 fcr, no merc (he keeps on dying so meh), laggg, like 300 defense, and all around not so exciting gear. I'm not saying I don't die with her. In fact, I die 1/3 of the time I teleport, mostly due to souls that combine their lightning and kill me. However, the other 2/3 of the time, I survive and make it to the throne room. I cast a TP outside the entrance in lvl 3 in case I die afterwards and cast a tp in the throne room itself once I tele to baal's room. How much xp did I lose? NONE, because I gain like 20x that amount once I make it through.

Here's a step by step guide:
1. Make game Itelebaal xx
2. Buy pots and tp scrolls, run to wp, people will be joining by now.
3. Tele to entrance, make TP. Go in.
4. Tele into throne room and tp wherever it is safe.
5. Let peeps come in and kill.
6. Once last minion falls, type "ng". and leave really fast.
7.Type up Itelebaal xx really fast, lightly tap asdfasdfasdf one at a time to pass the time so you won't make a failed game. (I think they decreased the time minimum from the last time I played diablo since I can do it so fast right now without failing)
8. Go back to step 2. Whenever you die, type "ng" and make a new game really fast. Its just death. Whining in the ghost world will take longer and time is of the essence. Rinse, repeat.

Like I said, I died 1/3 of the time to souls, but I went from level 40 to level 72 in about an hour's time, don't remember exactly. Regardless, it was 10 times faster than doing baal walks or waiting for some happy sorc to start teleporting. The only whining I should hear is from people teleporting in Hell. I've seen sorcs with 1337 gear die before the new ladder so meh.
