Do anyone know the way to calculate the chance to freeze on those 3 items?
From Arreat Submit, Icablink seems to have 30~50% to freeze and my experiment (more than a year ago) shows that its somehow related to character lvl vs monster lvl, as those monster with lower level (like in normal, and early nm) always frozen up. Late nm and hell monster seldom get frozen.
Just get my hand on a buriza in new ladder and i'm making a strafter. I'm now lv 77 and monster in nm baal runs are getting frozen up more and more. Wonder if I should get an iceblink and cham my buriza. Or should I just grap blackhorn and cleglaws to be a slowazon?

Slow from say Holyfreeze, cold dmg, slow from weapons, decripify curse all stack to create a time stop effect on most monsters. However, items that carry the same mods do not stack ie) ice blink, buriza, and cham.
So if you really want to make the old school Slowazon, go with clegs, Hf merc with reapers toll and duress for cold dmg and other tastey mods. Have fun with it :)
Oh btw, Hft is based on your lvl vs monster lvl as you suspected. Also, Hft is affected by diff lvl so in norm monsters stay frozen longer than hell.
Just a clarification, from the "Facts and Formulae Archive," which can be found in the upper left pull down menu on this vey page...
Chance to Freeze
[color=#e5e5e5] Melee = 50 + (AL + (B*4) - DL) * 5
Ranged = (50 + ((AL-6) + (B*4) - DL) * 5)/3
AL = attacker level
DL = defender level
B = freeze bonus from item (default is 1)
For Freeze Bonus from items, See the item here for Uniques and Sets.
E.g:
Lvl85 Amazon using a Buriza (+3 freezes Target) while attacking a lvl80 Creature.
Ranged = (50 + ((AL-6) + (B*4) - DL) * 5)/3
= (50 + ((85-6) + (3*4) - 80) * 5)/3
= (50 + (79 + (3*4) - 80) * 5)/3
= (50 + (79 + (12) - 80) * 5)/3
= (50 + (11 * 5))/3
= (50 + 55)/3
= 105/3
= 35% Chance to Freeze
Duration:
Freeze length = (Chance - Roll) * 2 + 25 frames
with a minimum length of 25 frames (1 second) and a maximum length of 250 frames (10 seconds)
roll=RND(100) for a range of 0 to 99
E.g:
Same situation but with a roll of 10.
Freeze length = (Chance - Roll) * 2 + 25 frames
= ((35 - 10) * 2) + 25 frames
= (25 * 2) + 25
= 50 +25
= 75 Frames
As I read this again, I am surprised that difficulty level does NOT appear to affect the freeze length, unlike freeze from items and skills. As for Holy Freeze, I thought this lasted as long as the skill was on, until the next aura ping, about a second or so. Anyone checked this?

So if I wear a Chamed Buriza and Iceblink the B will be 3+3+1 =7, right?
((AL-6) + (B*4) - DL) * 5) >= 50 to obtain 33% to freeze on a bow
AL - DL >= 16 - B*4
AL >= DL + 16 - B*4
i.e.
AL = DL + 12 if B=1 (using Iceblink)
AL = DL + 4 if B=3 (Using Buriza)
and the level difference could be increased by 4 for each point of additional B?
As for the freeze length, here's from arreat submit:
Iceblink: Ice Blink has a 13-50% Chance to work. Ice Blink works with Ranged Weapons. This is not displayed on the item.
Freeze Time in seconds = (100 + CharacterLevel*2)/25
The minimum Freeze Duration (at Character Level 1) would be 4.08 seconds, and maximum (at level 99) would be 11.92 seconds. Freeze Length is reduced to 1/2 and 1/4 on Nightmare and Hell.
uh.. is it outdated or what?
Besides, how does cleglaw's and blackhorn's face stack together? slow by 25% then 20%
slowedspeed = speed * 0.75 * 0.8
or slow by 20+25%
slowspeed = speed * (0.55)
or they just don't stack, one of them overwrite another?

Afaik, slow from clegs and say kelpie snare, do not stack at all. This has been tested and it seems the higher slow takes effect. Some people believe this to be a bug, but I am not sure. Just get out there and throw on different types of slow stuff and have fun :) Lets not get too caught up in the math of the game and just slay the badies ;)
Oops - I had missed the AS info on Iceblink, sorry. I would think that AS is correct, and that I am wrong, and that it operates differently than the +chance to freeze on cham and buriza.
As for the freeze duration of buriza and cham chance to freeze, I have been reading more after searching it and it appears I may have been wrong about that too, so that the freeze length from these items also is reduced by difficulty level.
As for slow items stacking and "chance to freeze"stacking, I will check on this, but it was my understanding from a slowazon guide that slow at least stacks. I will check on this and other sites and get back to you guys. We may have to post in the Stas forum and hope RTB or Thrugg hear our cries.
