Amazon tweaks.

Greetings.

I am working on a mod - with my goal being balancing the skills of all characters and not much else.

This leads to the amazon.

I know that this char needs a boost. Namely a bowazon and spearzon would. Since I rarely played her - what would be your propositions to make it work? What skills would you boost or synergyze? Would reintroduction of GA pierce help?

make the ed on the bow skills work like ed from other class skillsAs far as I know, it already does. Do you mean AR? None of the AR boosts from bow skills works with a ranged attack. That is something that would be nice to see fixed.

Actually, though, bowies seem pretty strong to me. The Ama changes I would like to see are in the Jav tree. The physical jav skills look great but in practice are weak. Make it so that D/A/E doesn't cause a miss for each succeeding attack in the Fend cycle (the "Fend bug"), so you could have a real Ama zealer. Maybe also synergize Jab with impale or fend (more damage) or synergize impale with Jab and fend to speed up the attack.

As for bowazons, Faith and Fortitude really gave them a significant boost in power. Perhaps a small synergy for the physical bow skills would be nice so that they really would be worth maxing.
As for spearazons, Blizzard hates them. The Fend bug really killed it. If they fixed it, I would make a spearazon just for the fun of it :lol: . I agree with DudSpud and the physical spear skills should get a boost.

Since it looks like the thread starter got answers, I am going to close this thread now. I let it stay open for most of the day just to see where it went. But I am not sure I like the idea of promoting or even discussing it here.
