gaming comp help please

i'm looking to buy a new comp but i need to know if an AMD Sempron will work better than a Intel Celeron D. Can ne1 help me out here (would be much appreciated). Thx

They are both about the same I think but you're buying a computer just for gaming, you should step it up a notch. Go for pentium4 or higher.

Would an AMD Athlon 64 bit work ok?

64 bit is quite new. Although it's fast many games are probably not compatible right now. They may be in the future buy you might have to wait a while. 32 bit should be ok.

Well, other people i know said that it would support 32 bit applications and it would be better for me to use later on also. Is this true?
