Is a grizz a good plan for a windy? its several extra skill points for a build that requires a lot already, but will he aid the merc's tanking ability enough to be worth it?
if i do go with the grizzly, should i max oak sage or twister first?

A grizzly is a very good idea. It's a nice recastable tank, and with the many +skills you have, it will be a decent one too.

I don't really know what to max first, but I would advice Twister, unless you have troubles staying alive.

Grr pIER.

grizzly has the effect the same as a summoners big revives
when you tele, grizzly makes in impossible for you to get hit, inless by something with piercing or area effect (bonespear, fb)

So do wolves?

i thought wolves were too small so guided arrows and spirits could hit you

Nah, wolves are even better in some cases....Like, vs hammerdins..where you just need a high number of meat shields around you...or Vs high dmg 1-hit chars (such as zerk or conc barbs, or smite, or foh) where they can 1-hit-kill any minion you cast, so it's more important to have many little tanks that can devert the attacks, than 1 giant tank that'll go down in 1 hit eitherway..

that really didnt say whether wolves were too small or not...i guess you misread my statement

there are more wolves, yes, but i dont think they are large enough to cover your body when u tele, thus bringing guided attacks on you instead of your wolves

I began by dismissing your sentance... There is no such a thing as "too small"..When you tele, they stack on you and cover your face from non-piercing attacks.

i thought since you were bigger than they are, you would cover them instead of them covering you

It depends. Spirit Wolves vs. Bowazons + FoHers + Zealers and such to divert their attacks, Bear against Bone necs, Sorcs, etc.

I doubt the actuall sizes of the animals matter.

The problem is, you have to be lvl 94 to have 1 in Grizzly with maxed Oak / Tornado / Hurricane / Cyclone Armor / Twister with all the skill quests done.

The fatty bear is a great help indeed, vs some classes makes you win defenitely. Put one point on it at lvl 80 (i.e.). And then keep maxing all the rest. Dont wait for it till the last. 4 less levels in oak sage doesnt matter that much.
