aside from the 'fore mentioned fact that they got rid of the channel lobby, i haven't hostiled so many people in over a year on diablo without suffering the quick exit of chicken.

I musta brought in about 30 ears tonight with a zealot....a zealot! :) If everytime we went into a game and hostiled and 5 ppl had chicken, that means that everytime u hostile now, 5 people don't know what to do about it. Thats 5 potential ears running in circles going "Save me save me."

I'm on a 16 pally, and this 16 pally comes in asking for a duel while i'm afk. He proceeds to call me names then leaves. I find him when i get un-afk challenge him to a duel. He immediately says "i dunno, lets compare gear." HAHAHAHA lets compare gear!!!! muahahaha! what he really meant was:

"i dont have maphack anymore and without it i'm blind and afwaid of the scawy man"

well he wouldn't duel me, what he did instead was try to pk some lvl 9 pvm char while Plip was standing right beside town on his 35 pvp sorc....ruh roh, no chicken saved him this time. MUAHAHAHA

i dunno about everything else, and it would be nice to have a reset, and it would be nice to have tppk fixed (although i havent seen it once yet), and i know this wont last forever. But for the time being I'm LOVING pvp again. I can make a duel game and not worry about being the underdog cuz i dont chicken. I fought a 3 v 1 in a duel game earlier and killed 2 of them in the same zeal as they stood side by side.

I pk'd this one guy three times tonight.

I say everyone get out there, put whatever gear you can find on a char, make a dueler or a pk or a pkk and get some action while you can.

Cheers!

Quite Frankly ... I love the new patch

Says a PvP fanatic. I'm sure the new patch is great for getting all those chicken using newbs but it really doesn't help anyone who enjoys PvM over PvP.

Plus, it's great now, but in a few weeks, mh/chicken/bots will all be back and everything will suck again. Yes, it's nice to have the PvP "Freedom" you have now but I'd rather have a permanent fix than Blizzard teasing all the legit players once in a while.

For the PvM view of it, once again, TPPK still exists. I won't actually start playing again until it is gone or ladder is reset.

pfft tom brady i say. i did my draft last night and i came out with

Trent Green/priest holmes
Drew Brees/Antonio Gates combo (hopefully gates stays with the bolts)

Besides, everyone knows all the good football players come from prison not college.

Julius Jones is going to be great this season.

Fixed it for you.

I think julius jones needs a few more years to get better. However that game vs the seahawks(I think) he was great. He showed his true potential. That was my favorite game of last season too.. man that game was good!

I agree. I just said it considering the Cowboys are my favorite team. :D

And yes, it was the Seahawks. 240+ yards and 2-3 TDs iirc.

agreed. real question is, how LONG will blizzard finally realize that the game needs a reset to be playable again.

Glad Chicken is gone too, but if they have not patch TPPK, than that is disappointing.

I haven't seen tppk since 1.11 either.
Perhaps because new patch ruined loading program or whatever, not because Blizz fixed it...

So funny what ppl are saying in games now:
Do you know where to get working MH?
I'm scared to play now - no MH.
And then I see a lvl 60! paladin die to a salamander in NM Claw Viper lvl 1!

Also, no dueling games up anywhere that I've found.
I made a few - no one joined...

well of course dueling is going to be slim now...since the majority of people won't go near it without chicken or even the ability to scan ... but i say good ridance. Thats how it should be. Eventually some of them will get ballsy and give it a try, and until then its only those who belong there.

We had a full duel game the other day but unfortunately two of the pallys i was 1 v 2'ing against, neither were really pvp.

Also had a 39 who wanted to loot duel a 29 but wouldn't duel a 49...i love their logic.

I too think Julius will be good this year, but other RBs to look out for are Willis McGahee and LaMont Jordan. Both have had good success, but now that the spotlights on them they'll do pretty damn well.

On another note, I wish the Steelers would trade for T.J. Duckett. He's rotting away at the #2 spot when he could definitely provide what Jerome Bettis did coming out of LA.

Tom is a good QB, and the Pats scored highly when drafting him but IMO he is made by the system he is in, the defensive system, basically the whole package. I wouldnt put my money on him if he left for another team, I dont think he can be what he is without that team.

Watch out for Edge, he is probably going to be a free agent next season and he had a very quiet 2000 yrd season last year and nearly won the rushign title on a pass heavy offense! When (3) receivers get 10 TDs each and your back still gains 2k rush/recieve and 9 TDs it is jsut insane.........no, just a little better D!

Edge was my first pick overall last year and was a very solid player. But the pass offense kind of compliments his running. 3 guys with 10 tds means defense are watching pass and then he hits run, they move in to stop run peyton hits pass so its a nice little system for him too.

I'm lookin for Brees to repeat this year. Finally showed signs of what he's capable of last year with a team meshing well together instead of getting flamed by his own teammates so he should produce again.

Priest was my first pick overall this year so he better stay healthy dammit! I also have Green so I'm a KC/Chargers fan 100% of the way this year!

IIRC Edge had 1 run over 20 yds and was less than 100 yds from the rushing title. There is no better all around back in the game but he isnt the explosive long gainer he was before his injurys. Many might point to Preist Holmes and a couple others and I cant argue those but if you watched the Colts games as much as i have you would know your assesment of how defenses play it is inaccurate as Edge is actually the catalyst of the passing game. He pulls 7-8 into the box and helps remove double teams. The colts struggle HARD when the running game doesnt get going, example Pats vs Colts, they always take the running game out first.

and now we're back to how solid the pats system is, we'll see this year just how much of a difference romeo's departure will make. i wouldn't think it would be much, but there's always a chance.

If I had the #1 pick I'd go LT no doubt about it. Priest Holmes is a prolific scorer, but these past two seasons he's had the injury bug and I try to shy away from that.

Edge is like Ben Roethlisberger. Without the great passing attack Edge does not perform as well; without the Steelers' running game Big Ben has the typical rookie problems.

I hope Hines Ward signs because that'd make me very happy as a Steelers fan to know Ben has a secure target going into the season. He's done very well this offseason, talking to Dan Marino and training with one of the greatest defensive minds in the NFL Dick Lebeau (Romeo Crennel is good too), but he needs players to work with and with Plaxico Burress gone Hines Ward needs to provide some familiarity.
