Yes!! It's COMING!! I thought Blizzard was being incompetent, but now I just take that all back! They're taunting us! Now, we can only hope for god that this isn't an 'Xpac only' patch. Will it actually be April first? Anyway, how do you think (if at all) this will affect Classic?

Classic 4 Life. Anyway it probably wont affect us as much as LoD people... i hope we can get that Lilith quest thingy though.

They'll probably just apply whatever changes they can back to classic, without giving any real thought as to what affect they'll have - just like they did with previous patches. But we can wish. I'd settle for the 1.09 experience system, restoring bowazons as a viable PvM build, fixing Hell Durance level 2, and nerfing hammerdins.

I agree with u completely stanzaman(except for dur2). Blizzard put up all those screenies at the battle.net site, but there isnt anything said about repairing all the damage that some l'enfant terrible did to our realm on Oct 28 2003. Its all alot of trinkets and baubles thrown at the LoD people, and the response was predictable, alot of :clap: people over on the other forums.

Here is why i doubt they give us in classic ANYTHING meant for classic in this new patch: when they "Immortalized" the top 10 players from each class per realm last July when season1 was over, they pointedly did NOT include the 'Standard' Ladder, meaning us. As if we are too cheap to buy LoD and need to be punished. No Blizzard, we have your LoD, we just think it sucks next to Classic D2.

A half-ruined D2 classic is still better than grossly overpowered chars doing boring throneroom runs.

you might as well remake all your chars because i'm sure their goin to change synergies. i remember in .09 i had a hydra sorc that pwnt cows but when patch changed i can barely kill 1 cow.

then i remade it with synergies then it owned again.

blizz nd hdin's probably not goin to be godly anymore

They all get moved to the non-ladder realm, that's all.

Man I'd wish they change the none spaming orb thingy... it kinda messes up my teleportation.

one more question. is it harder to get stuff (items mf etc) on non-ladder than ladder? Does ladder provide more godly stuff?

The drops are the same ladder and non-ladder. Of course, trading is going to be different as the economies are different. I believe there are ladder only items in expansion but that doesn't affect us.

Classic is hardly changed, the only difference being there are no hacks, which means nearly all the "godly" duelers are taking "breaks". So a few people will catch nice legit duels (Aside from juvs), but classic got screwed over by this.
I'm currently spreading rumors in bnet channels about xpac to have some fun, and you would be surprised how people beg you when you tell them a constricting ring (now here's an idea, give classic a godly new item that xpac doesnt have... xpac NL people already try to paypal duped rings/boots to convert, and some of my PP legits have three digit cash offers).

The only upside is that chars dont need to be remade, or at least apparently.

*edit* also, classic dupes brought to xpac have been poofing... this makes me smile :D :D :D

Well, I did level alot faster then when I was in 1.09 :D
