Hi everyone,

Im new to the druid forum and the druid class, i usually hang out in the SP forum (best forum ever :p :) ).

so my question is, i want to make a melee char that can beat hell twinked. i have some good items for SP (almost all uniques / sets but no fancy runewords). what would you guys recommend? i hear the guides are outdated (for 1.09), thats why im asking.

also, fury WW seems poplar, but how do you deal with phys immunes?

a brief overview of skills and gear would be good, or directing me to a guide accurate for 1.10.

cheers!

Welcome to the droods mate!
If your just looking for gear, one of the most important things for a WW fury druid is leech. Get as much as you can, more so life then mana. Another thing is res, since you will be tanking. For PI i would have some elemental dmg charms handy.

Gear:
Wep:I would choose azurewrath for the elemental dmg it gives
, high dmg, arua, everything is good about it!
Sheild:Stormshield all the way
Gloves: Dracs
Boots:Gores
Belt:dungos
rings/ammy:Angelic combo works well
Helm:Jalas

Skills:
Max
Werewolf
Lycanthropy
Fury
Oak sage

Hope it helps! and good luck.

Hello fellow SP'er. :howdy:
Read the stickies and enjoy your stay. ;)

I would say a fury+rabies hybrid is better than a pure fury wolf for PvM. The simple reason is that you don't need tens of thousands of attack rating to hit monsters and maxing werewolf only adds attack rating. If you are opposed to using the charge/synergy feature via carrion wind(if you have it :p) then you need to leave oak sage at base too(to be pumped last if points left over) to have enough for max poison creeper.

To adjust gear for the hybrid, all you need to do is have rabies equipment on switch. Deats web and 4 faceted monarch would be best, but plague bearer and lidless wall or sigons works too.

Next up you need to decide if you want to do a titan, vita or blocking druid.
A titan will have lower life and might have less resistances due to the need of +life items. On the pros, a titan will have more damage, especially with mauls.
A vita build will have loads of life and doesn't need the +life items that bad so resistance gear can be used more flexibly. The downside is that due to lower damage you might be tempted to use damage gear and skip on resistances. In some situations it might work but not often enough to matter. Remember that if you use the bug/feature you can't expect to kill with rabies to get your corpse since the carrion wind is IN the corpse.
A blocking build will have considerably lower damage than the vita build and not nearly as much life. On the positive sides it can keep its health up if there are leachable monsters around. You may need some kind of edge(holyfreeze merc or decrepify from reapers toll for example) against tough monsters like extra strong death lords.

Then is the equip, the hardest part.
Since I'm tired from the longwinded post, I'll just list gear that is preferred on a werewolf and you can pick and choose which you want and need for your wolf to triumph.
Bloodfists, dracul's grasp, ribcracker(ed/IAS or shael), jalal's mane(um or shael or Pruby), baranar's star(shael), IK gloves+belt+boots+maul(1 shael), tombreaver, bonehew(2 shael or 2 ed/IAS), duriels shell(um or Pruby)
Hopefully I didn't forget anything important. EDIT: Of course I did, Trang's claws and possibly bramble(not worth it IMO) this is a hybrid after all.
Here (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=367540)'s a draft of a fury+rabies guide, just adjust the equipment to PvM environment.
