Hi guys
Just found my second Gargoyle's bite. That pretty much makes 2*Gimmershred, 2*Gargoyle's bite and 2*Lacerator. In most of the guides I've seen, nobody mentions G'B. Isn't it a good throwing weapon with good speed, decent damage and great throw range? Should I use them on my throw barb at all?

They have horrible throwspeed iirc. eLacerators kick their *** bigtime for pvp, and grimmers for pvm :)

now if Stone Curse was still around in D2 as it was in D1, THEN you'd all be interested.

Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in!
What's Stone Curse, what did it do?

I've heard and read in guides that though axes and knives have great throwing speeds (much higher than harpoons), they sadly lack the range, Harpoons have maybe 20-30% longer range than knives and axes. Of course, the Gargoyle's bite does not have the IAS mod (so in that, it is not as good as a cruel winged harpoon of quickness), but I think there is something to be said for winged harpoons. Their base speed is rather good for javelin class weapons.

Turns a monster into stone. Worked on just about everyone except Lazarus and Diablo I believe. I also seem to remember stoning other players, but thats something I wouldn't put money on.
Oh, and if you killed someone in Stone Form, they crumbled to dust.

As far as GB go i would not use them unless they were etheral, and if you diddnt have anything better to use. Ive done some testing with them and their speed is a lot slower without any ias, winged harpoons are actually the best throwing weapon in the game in my opinion, but only when u find rare ones with 40% ias/hi ed and increased stack size (etheral replenish is always a great bonus :) The only problem with javelins is that they have a very low stack size of 80 for most of them, and as you can imagine they can run out quite quickly in a duel, and if they are eth u have to wait till they replenish back to use them. In all i would go with the lacerators for pvp and gimmers for pvm. If you can get your hands on a eth warshrike that would be a good one to use with a lacerator. If u got any questions or need help u can pm me or take a look at my guide. Good luck and heres the link for it: http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=365616

You know how Diablo was imprisoned in the soulstones, right?
After they buried Diablo under the cathedral in Trsitram, the local Kings Archbishop, Lazerus, became compelled to find Diablo, as Diablo was calling out to him. It was because of Lazerus that Diablo was freed from the soulstone the first time, leading to the events of his second capture and the coming of the Dark Wanderer, AKA the guy that killed him under Tristram.
