so, im making a rabies druid, i got the supplies to make a good one, and i was thinking of using a deaths web on him. it will be mainly pvp.
Has anyone tried this before, and known it to be effective? I will have a grief on switch for fury. Will the -psn res still work after i switch weapons?

No. If you're planning to be Rabies + Fury hybrid which you should b/c they pwn Rabies all the time, you shouldn't use DWeb at all unless you plan Fury'ing with that lil stick.
If you're full Rabies however you can just bite w/ 6 Shael'ed PB or Plague Bearer or etc. and then switch to DWeb + 20/20 Psn Monarch for some insane Psn damage but... I'd stick with Grief and lose the DWeb if you're planning to Fury.
Unless you are a pure rabies build you are better off infecting someone with a plague bearer for the +5 skills. If you use dweb, and switch over to a fury weapon then I believe the -res isn't there anymore for lack of a better way to put it. If you decide to go with pure rabies I see no reason not to use a deaths web. Make sure you shael the thing though..

Plague Bearer is very nice, but with a 6 Shael'ed PB + maxed Were Wolf, I think the calculator said I bite once in 4 frames which is insane because I think there are 25 frames a second.
Since I was wearing Carrion Wind / BK Ring / +3 SS Ammy, I had really really low AR like 7K, but I made sure I bite fast enough with the Phase Blade.

Honestly in PvP I wouldn't try to infect people with 7k ar unless it's strictly casters, and not a hammerdin. That's a tad too low for my taste. 4 frames is nice but it's a matter of preference, more damage at a higher frame rate, or a bit less damage at a faster speed.

Actly if your going to attack people with rabies you really want a 6 socted weapon with 6 5/5 poison die jewels. WIth a sheild with ya 4 5/5 poison die jewels. Also attacking some one with rabies then switching to dweb doesn't in fact work. But if you attack some one with rabies with a dweb it is Bada$$.
Also I heard in the past that vemon from greif could counter act the rabies damage. I have never seen that done. The only time I have seen some thing close to that happen was when I forgot to use a carrion wind ring. The only thing I could belive that could happen to some one is if they switched to fury and then attacked. But if I had enuff time to do that who ever I was fighting was all ready dead. If I was you I would just use the greif for phy damage and sometimes a quick last sec bite. I also think you should really get a second phy damage doing weapon that is 2 handed and has a range 5. And keep a shaftstop and verd/string of ears in stash with a p ruby in the armor. So you can duel casters better.

Attacking and hitting with rabies, and then switching to D-web does work. If you switch back to your other weapon, it'll go away though. This is why it's good to have a 4 poison facet shield + D-web or 6 poison facet or plagubearer with a facet.
I'd carry a fast big hitting weapon on one switch with a good blocking shield and/or resist shield, then the big rabies damage weapons on switch for the hit and run tactic.
