As you can see my gear isn't exactly top notch and most have nothing but a few crappy resist charms but they are for PvM so I can manage.

I would consider him above average because I have some pretty nice charms on him, but not top notch because my jewels are all plain 15 max jewels and I don't have an artisan's tower of deflecting. Top end fury wolves would probably have around 1-1.1k max damage.

The only other fury lld I met was pretty top notch (knarl's if any of you know of him), and he beat me, although iirc I was missing a jewel or two. There are only two melee llds that I would say I cannot beat on a consistent basis, and they are knarl's fury wolf and a defiant zealot with ~10k defense.

I didn't know dtail sins were on the food chain at all :confused:

They (wolves) are fairly high on the food chain as far as lld melee goes. The only builds that I think should give it trouble (besides itself) are high defense zealots/smiters or cs zons if you lack resists.

LLD fury wolves have low damage, very fast attack (6/4) and very high life which gives them a huge edge on normal zealots, kickers and conc barbs.

The high def zealot I dueled was krajee from lld101. I believe he might be on this site too, but I don't see him often.

My wolf uses a 6x Shael 11%ed Naga. Some choose Crowbill for lower reqs, but I like the range on the Naga.

There really aren't many options for fury wolves, and basically speed > damage. The most popular lld runeword, "Honor", is just way too slow.

Some people go for a 7/4 fury with 5x shaels and an ed/max jewel, but imo it's important to hit the 6/4 fury so you don't whiff at 5 frames if you miss. Plus, one extra jewel doesn't add all that much to the damage anyways.

I've never dueled a smiter, but I would assume their damage is too low to kill a 2.3k life druid before the druid can kill him (with a 2h weapon of course), unless he is also a defense build.

I've never lost a majority to a zealot besides krajee's defense zealot. I've beaten both cancer's, voices' and whatever pub zealots I've met. I was under the impression that their gear is many times better than mine too (jewels mainly, I use plain 15 max all around). Haven't met a conc barb from lld101, but I've beaten all those in the pubs too. IMO they just attack too slow and fury wolves have the AR to hit them very consistently.

Fury druids have great fhr, the problem is they are interruptible so they actually experience it. Zealots and conc barbs just click and hold and rarely ever get put in hit recovery unless they are hit between attacks (like a 1 frame period).

He stopped carrying around a cta in dpk because of the bm factor, etc. I can probably find out how much life he has with that if he doesn't get to it today. As for the balrog, it's a jewelers of the titan.
