Question on my new frenzy baba

Hey, I'm -attempting- to make a decent frenzy baba on uswest ladder. His starts are prolly gunna look something like 118 str 136 dex rest vit. Gear is:
Arreats, Dracs, 2 x Ls, String, Rare life leech ring, raven frost, aldurs/treks, highlords, and fort. Would it be worthwhile to hel/-15req the ls to reduce the dex req? Just wondering cuz I want him to be able to actually take hits as opposed to dying in a couple. My goal is to walk him thru hell dunno if he will survive tho :lol: . Comments and/or suggustions on alternate gear are welcome.

Looks good except for the dual Ls. They simply don't have the killing power to be of much use in hell. I've tried a frenzy barb with 2x Ls before, very slow killing speed, and almost impossible to solo past act3 Hell. Stormlash (eth if possible) would probably be the best weapon choice. If you're looking for budget weps though, Gimmershred is actually a very good option, you could be doing upwards of 4k damage with it. If you're bent on using swords though (or already have started the barb) Azurewrath is a decent, not too expensive option., theres also Oath, Crescent Moon, DC (eth would be nice, but price is outrageous).

I'm starting a Frenzy barb too. Is dual Grief Phase Blades good? I want to make him a poison Barb. Trang's Gloves, Bramble, and poison charms. Would this be okay in hell?

my barb made it to lvl85 with dual LS so don't buy that inadequate killing power junk

Fudge, I'm not that rich on ladder for decent weapons; I DID make a cresent moon phase before deciding to switch to duel ls tho. No idea where I can even get gores or even goblin toe lol.

EDIT: Dammit the only verdungos I have is on my other baba; gore riders prolly trade for a pul or something so i can prolly get those. Any other suggustions for belts?

Once you do accumulate some more wealth, definately go for an Azurewrath. Decent weapons can be easily bought for Um and under.

Sure, you can get to level 85 with dual LS, but I would think it's much more convenient to have a lot of killing power with better weapons. :p
I'm cutting through everything like butter with my Shael Grandfather (Um + a socket quest) and Shael Azurewrath (Um + a socket quest) combo. Relatively cheap compared to BotD's and other high-end runewords, and very effective. So if you have the goods to trade for better equipment, by all means do it.


Belts.. eh..
If I were you, I would stick with the original String of Ears you had in mind. The mods are pretty useful compared to other belts availible. It's cheap, too.
