usualy when i watch ww barbs fight eahc otehr all it is is backa dn forth ww's... its boring..half the tiem they dont hit each other ..and when they do they leech back ot full life

whhat ui usaly do is run downt he screen towards oyur pots and let him follow you(this works better if hes faster)...when hes jsut aobut in his or your ww range ww down south...chances are you get the first hit..and sicne hes jsut a noob wiht good gear hell follow your ww with his... so it looks like this

Dude, seriously, please proofread at least ONCE before submitting.

First, barbs never leech back life unless lifetap is on one or both of the barbs. Life leech doesnt happen pvp in 1.10.

Second, you're fighting the crappiest barbs of all time. No barbs run when going bvb unless they're retards. As far as footwork tactics, Bigrob does a fantastic job of covering "feinting" moves of moving towards your opponent, provoking them to ww, then you defensive ww away, then drag back through as they come to a stop. He also recommends angling your attacks, utilizing the range of your weapons, so that they aren't (as you've seen) mindlessly ww'ing through each other, hoping that luck favors their extra/deficient 2% to hit of the other guy. Third would be coming back after your opponent ww's at you, letting him go for a sec, then beggining your ww and dragging through him.

I'm not flaming you, but seriously, I don't know any grief/botd barb that could possibly lose to an IK barb unless naked. If you're on west, we can duel and you can get some ideas of dueling tactics. I went about 30-0 with no heal vs a very stubborn IK barb the other day. It's just not for pvp.

And here's my advice on pvp singers with no tele: retire. Or stick to pvm. Why? Warcry's blockabale with a shield, so no pallys are vulnerable to you. Most windys, sorcs, and necros you wont catch without tele, and if you do they'll probably have a shield and possibly max block (plus nados and FB's). Who's left? Rabies/fury druids (gg singer), and dual wield barbs (two suicide branches is not what I want in MY hands vs a 7K goliath with a beast and grief in HIS).

I've never seen a single competent singer/wc barb in pvp. If you build one let me know. Cool idea, but it just doesn't seem to work.

I'd go with FOH or V/T. Foh's kind of a pubby killer, but some ppl are into that, and can be REALLY expensive to make them uber. V/T seems to be a good blend of melee/distance attack, you can even charge if you have to smack a hoe (sorc or zon).

Usually I try to tele away and only ww after I tele onto him, while he's not ww'ing.

Hey J,

I don't really like to for three reasons. One, I feel like BvC's are a specific category of people who want to take a character that, despite his damage and life, is still at a bit of a disadvantage to many other classes. He doesn't have a high powered ranged attack, he doesn't have a ton of natural mana, he doesn't (unless he uses gear) have spells to slow opponents (like decrep), none of his attacks naturally track his opponents (namelock not included :lol: ), and theres no one who can tell me blizzing someone to death is more satisfying than running them down and cutting them to pieces. So, I kinda feel a kinship to barbs, especially BvC's. It's like we're an unspoken brotherhood or something. Too bad some brothers are a-holes...

Second, they do a crap ton of damage to my gear, and I'm a cheap bastard.

Third, most BvC's use a fair amount of poison on west, and that irritates me. I let grief do what it will, but I don't load pdscs, and if I had them, I'd remove them vs barbs. Barbs should do what they're built to do, and that's not to poison like a plaguezon, sin, or necro. Open wounds, that's the barbs way, big damage, that sort of thing...funny ideas I have about some honor in dueling I guess.

Anyway, to answer your question fully, I use a lot of footwork. I try to be as patient as possible, and as observant as possible. I chant to increase the AR first, since my (and hopefully his def) will be low, I put on the angelics, and rather than do what most barbs do (ww constantly), I try to just get that one or two well timed licks in, and move away (even putting run back on) and see if I've got him bleeding. Its part of your design and attack, so use it. Not run off to the woods Imperor style, but give it a few seconds, then come back in. The faint in with defensive ww away, then dragging back through works fantastically well once you get it down.

The big problems I have is when BvA's drop the shield and go with a beast. Their def and AR relative to mine usually wins out unless I'm playing him really well. Most ppl do the constant ww, classic D2 style, bigrob was all over it. He's dead on with most ppls not-so-smart tactics. So, my "footwork" and fight style vs another BvC is much like BvB as described in his guide. My life is better than many barbs on West, so I hold up pretty well.

Most of the time for me it's:
get 40% fcr by using my ar/fcr rings instead of the normal mana/res/fcr ones
enchant

For tatics I really don't really defensive ww too much as I feel it put way to much risk for me and makes to duel more about luck: who can hit faster and harder.
For me it's more of teleing around him [running/walking is risky as he can also tele+ww and half of the time he ww's in the direction in moving] and waiting for his ww to end, then tele+ww'ing him then resuming my teleport patteren around him.
