Um. I just wasted the Ancients in Normal in something like... under 2 minutes. I had a Merc and Shadow Master going but I was expecting something a bit more. Between Cloak of Shadows and Blade Fury... I didn't even *need* any of the potions I brought and scattered about the field except for the mana potions because I was blasting away the blades.

Level 39 Sin.


Is that normal?

At level 39? Yeah.
I've done it that fast with a spellcaster party at level 24.

Okay. It was just...bizarre.

Of course, I just got wasted in the throneroom with the third mob. Darn fire.

Don't worry, once you get to hell and they all have three modifiers it will be lots more fun! :o

Hell ancients, arguably the hardest enemies in the game. Enjoy rerolling them unless you have a very good character.

God i hated hell ancients... even when you managed to kill them, they pop and you die...

Or having a meteorb sorc and have one always spawn immune to fire and cold

That doesn't matter too much with my skelemancer. I simply hate lightning enchanted + whatever. Well, it would have been worse. Add Talic with fanatism and Mawarc with might, and you got something really nasty. ;) 1 hit ko, anyone? I don't think even ES and damage reduction can possibly save you.

yes at that level you should be able to destroy anything in normal. i can kill p8 norm baal in under 5 seconds with 1 pt static at lvl 29+.
