Fire Claw Bear/ Merc question

Hi all, i've made myself a pvp fc bear and was wondering if an obedience thresher would be any good for my merc. Although this char is primarily for pvp purposes i still like to play the game. I'm using a might merc and wanna cow him, would i get more bang for my buck using this or is there a better solution? Btw, i should mention, i'm on a budget. :lol:

The -25% enemy fire damage is only in effect when your merc is doing damage, it doesn't affect the damage you do.

You are much better off trading for a reapers toll, it has decrepify which will make your merc last longer and your playing much easier.

If you want to spend wealth/runes, make infinity into ethereal cryptic axe or something for the conviction aura.

Thanks for the info, i wasn't sure if the negative resist mod's on merc weapons actually worked or not.
