Well, yeah, he's not so great, but you made some of the common mistakes that most people make the first time they create a barbarian.

Try reading a few of the guides in the sticky and giving it another whirl :)

you can get by with most mistakes, imho the only real killer is not maxing battle orders, that one will get ya

giving it another whirl :)

By which he may or may not mean Whirlwind :D

Actually it looks like this barb can do everything, sounds like fun for an introduction barb.

If you haven't read the guides--yes, you did some things wrong, but most first time barbs (when unguided), don't turn out so hot.

Quick notes (assuming I can be quick..)--

There's barb fundamentals that you need to take care of for every basic barb. The "big three" would be a) pick only one weapon to master, and max it--don't spend points in any other weapon category other than the ONE you are going to use, b) max battle orders, as vita and the ability to reach high BO levels is a big part of what makes the barb so tough--his vita is his greatest advantage, so take full advantage of it, and c) your attack of choice should be maxed, be it whirlwind (my favorite), or berserk, or conc, or frenzy. I'm sure you do crazy damage with zerk, but it could've been even better with more in synergies, and more in weapon mastery.

Also, the bonus to your points concerns me some--I'm guessing your gear isn't so hot. For barb number 2 (so you can stop dying and start having fun), I'd suggest the IK barb (and there's guides on here to walk you through the build). Also, with so much in dex, I hope you're using a shield with 70+% chance to block (sigons, stormshield, whitstans, etc). With a shield and maxed BO, the build you have is viable (though not as damaging as he could be) for hell difficulty if appropriately played. Good gear in hell helps immensely though, esp when it comes to resist.

In in the future, never more than one point in increased stamina. Please promise me that.

woah,You shoulda checked barb guides/faq.

First, never EVER put 1 point in all the masteries, imo its a waste.Choose 1 type of weapon and stick with it all the time,or u'll just waste points that could of gone into better places(ie:battle orders).

Next time, check a barb guide and make a specific build,u will become much more powerful and useful

Oh yea 1 last thing i noticed,u put 20 points in energy??Dood,no point in energy, you must!

Also, try to put more life in ur chars,600 life for a lvl 80 barb is very low.
If ur going WW build(whirlwind)u should go for 3 str/2 vitality/1 dex at low lvls and then when ur at 200 str go 3 vit/2 dex

I dont know much about whirlwind (i have a conc barb)and i use a shield so i boosted dex, otherwise i woulda put alot more vitality.

jus my 2 cents

yeah i know he sucks but i only put 1 in each mastery, i have an item that adds to it and i have an item that adds 2 to all warcries to, but i really messed up in combat masterys and stats.

For almost any gear, I think this is the best, general, outline for a Barb to survive and kill in PvM.

20 Pts into Whirlwind (Put on a little Mana/Life Leech, you'll be able to keep Whirling and regainaing both Bulbs against most enemies)
20 Pts into Battle Orders
20 Pts into Weapon Mastery (Pick one)
20 Pts into Shout
~5 Pts into Natural Resistance (Can vary a lot)
X Pts into Iron Skin (Rest of your Pts go here)

Energy: 0 No MATTER WHAT unless you're a Warcry Barbarian
Str: Just enough for your gear unless you want 10-40 Pts more for more versatility
Dex: For Max Block, Get a shield with a good % to Block and put enough points until it says 'Chance to Block: 75%'. Otherwise, just get enough for your equipment.
Vitality: Every last Pt you can spare =).
Gives you good Damage (Relative to your weapon), nice boost to Life/Mana (Relative to Gear), and nice Defense (Again relative to your gear ;)). Now your Resistance must be as close to Max as possible to stay alive in Hell b/c...there's alot of Elemental Damage and it hits hard (Especialy those Knights in Acts 4 and 5)

Good luck on your next one (Predicting you're going to make another one ^^

don't forget about at least one point into berserk, to kill PI's, and to kill oblivion knights when cursed with Iron Maiden
