Can you quit the game without saving? I ask this because it would be nice to see what different types of stats you can get from imbue/personalize.

No.

You can do what you're asking by backing up your char or setting it to read-only, but that's considered cheating here.

2) We're not allowed to help you cheat. But to answer your question, pesonalization does nothing except making the item's name look cooler. As for imbuing, you'll get an item with an item level of your character level + 4 as well as all the affixes that can be granted to an item of such an item level.
