Wand question

I'm looking up wands because I want to make a White wand.

At the same time, I want to try and find a wand without too high a lvl requirement that can have 2 sockets and can span with +1-3 to Bone Spear. That way I could get up to +8 to Bone Spear.

Looking at Normal wands, only a Bone Wand or Grim Wand can have more than one socket. They also have a Magic Level of 1. Is that the same as the hidden mod on circlets that raises your drops by a couple levels? Also, does it have anything to do with what can spawn on the wand for Necromancer skills? My end question is, can a Bone Wand or Grim Wand have +3 to Bone Spear, or is the item too low in ilvl to get that bonus?

If the wand is dropped by a monster with high enough level it can get +3 to bone spear. (actually you can shop such wands at drognan in act 2 normal).

My White is a Grim Wand with +1 Iron Maiden and +3BSpear(So +8 BSpear total) and it has lvlreq 35.

You need to get a *bone* wand. Drogman does sell bone wands; you just need a bit of patience since he sells far more other types.

If you can get to act 5 at level 19 you get a large supply of white bone wands on display. Act 2 shopping is best for summoners bone wands and sorceresses fireball and teleport 'leaf' staves.

I've seen enough wands at Drognan with 2 sockets, and it has to be (as already stated) an bone wand. I have shopped there myself for a hybrid wand for a bone/summoner.

Wands, yew wands and (not available at that level, but anyway) burnt wands get just one socket from Larzuk, all others get two. Ilvl doesn't matter as well in this case BTW.

Well, just to put this to rest, I found a Bone Wand from Drognan that had +1 to Skeletal Mage and +3 to Bone Spear. Then I high-tailed it to Act 5 and got it socketed courtesy of Larzuk. My White is probably my favourite weapon on that character.

not true, YEW wand gives 1 socket
and the topic starter clearly knows it has to be a bone wand :)
