blizz games have always had pretty crappy ai. in warcraft two the enemies would only build expansion bases a set number of times. after that they'd just send a string of peons to a new goldmine. you could just put a few troops outside the mine and kill all the peons one by one. the ai would never send troops to protect them and would just keep making more peons till it ran out of gold.

Try playing starcraft, versus terrans, and build a Spire, Starport or Stargate. Don't build any aircraft, but wach the brilliant terran AI build missile turrets all over the place...

Also, when playing as the terrans, placing buildings in the way of units and having tanks behind, out of enemy range totally waste just about anything because enemy troops just walk around taking hits :D
