Hi,
I've seen some sorcies equip their mercs an Infinity Polearm, and previously unhittable mobs become hittable again (immunities removed).
I just got an Infinity for my Cold Orber sorc, and it's having no effect...

Some suggested that you need certain level Conviction to remove immunities. Is this true? As a guess, would it be lvl15 (-100% resist)? Or is there another explanation?
Thank you.

ya i had one on my zon and it worked for light / fire immunes but i relized it really didnt remove the immunities of cold immunes so on my blizz sorc i was thinking of just putting a botd pike fro straight out damage

The thing is that convition (and lower resistance too for that matter) only works at 1/5 effect upon immune monsters (for lvl 12 conviction that would be 85%/5 = 17%).

Immune is not "just" 100% resistance - some monsters have more.
If the monster has less than 117% resistance the conviction aura will break it and you can hit it.

What you have encountered is cold immune monsters with 117% or more cold resistance.

IF the resistance is broken your cold mastery will help further, but if it is not broken cold mastery wont help.

I hope this is somewhat clear
