i'm pretty bored atm, and so i'd like to ask for suggestions on places to go or things to do.
currently, i have 2 active chars:
1. lvl 90 (yay) LF/ms zon, mf can vary between 0 and 300%.
2. es/lightning sorc, 0-150% mf.
things i've done this ladder season:
1. hellforge running (now that i have a good build for it, it's boring.)
2. countess running (no good runes)
3. baal running (no charms)
4. meph running (got just about everything good he can drop, e.g. 6 stormshields)
5. pit running (hardly seeing etherals)
6. mausoleum running (not many monsters)
7. a5su running (nothing good, zon keeps desychning on pindle)
8. cows (arrgh boring. nothing good drops either)
yesterday i explored a bunch of lvl 85 areas:
1. worldstone 2-3: not very profitable.
2. two temples off of the kurast causeway: hardly any monsters in there.
3. chaos sanct/river of flame: pretty easy actually with the zon. diablo is very very easy with @60 lightning res and tgods. nothing good dropped.
4. icy cellar: phys immunes, can't leech, lots of li's on the way.
my current goals:
1. i'm liking levelling my zon atm. she hardly ever dies and usualy only because of desynch or i'm too lazy to bring out the valk. i'm not intentionally levelling, but as i'm running areas, i get xp.
2. high runes.
3. elite items, normal, set or unique.
4. money for gambling. i'm fine on the cash side. i was using @700% gf, but now i'm just selling stuff.
5. crafting supplies
so, is there anything fun/profitable left for me to do that i haven't thought of?

A few ideas:
1. Do Baal runs until Baal drops exactly 1337 gold.
2. Low level duels - forces you to think in new ways. Different equipment/skills is needed etc. Fun.
3. Play Classic.

I've been enjoying going after Nihlathak lately. I'm not really in it for the items, but I hear he drops really well (next to last boss afterall). His temple is wicked dangerous which makes it fun, and the scenery is different from the stuff you're used to seeing. It makes a big difference to me to see monsters and new walls I'm not used to seeing. Especially as a lot of the monsters in there are from act III, which everyone seems to skip.
And speaking of act III, try some of the side dungeons in the jungle areas, which are high TC levels. I believe the swampy pit naturally holds gloams and undead stygian dolls-- fun!

I believe they call that death
Start a character from scratch. No twinking/muling. Find a game with a few people who want to do all of the quests without rushing, who stick together, who give that wand to a necro instead of selling it for gold, who take time to kill monsters rather than just rushing past them to the next quest. Almost impossible to do nowadays, but it's the most fun you'll ever have with D2.

Join an SPF tournament (or two).

plasmo: usually i can do that solo. i used to do it a lot when group questing was popular in the early ladder and single tree sorcs were popular. with the eq available nowadays though it's a lot easier when my merc is using an insight cryptic or etheral obedience thresher and prudence armor and an andy's visage.
jiansonz: i thought about sp, but i dunno about the tourneys there. there's like a good 30-100 rules basically limiting yourself so that the game is harder, e.g. the recent rares only and melee blues tourneys.
[edit] i spent the day yesterday doing countess, pit and baal runs.
during the countess runs, i triggered a realm down but not before i got enough runes to cube up to a pul, which gives me exactly what i need for an oath weapon.
so, i headed into the pits to find one. :) i didn't get any (i'm targetting a 4s eth zerker) but i did get a nice 5s phase blade for oath.
my gem mule was kind of full, so i went looking for a baal gc. didn't drop. :(

When i get bored i craft blood zerker axes and hit power scourges :P I do save magical zerker and scourges. Ok i do shop from Larzuk sometimes in the case of the zerkers hehe. Still have not gotten that nice 510ed weapon :( One day i want to make an 'Agent Orange' char i.e one that uses only crafted items lol. Hmm maybe charms can be magical...and runes allowed hehe

heh yep, i want to make one out of all safety items, roughly 36 phys damage reduce and 10 magic damage reduce with like 150 to all resists. :)

Things to do when the drive is lagging;
1) I always have a few charcters with hard builds to keep the blood flowing. I find the boredom comes from runs getting to easy and my Singer Barb and Curse Biatch necro really can help shake the cobwebs from the old noggin.
2) Play to help others. I know it sounds dumb and 1/3 of the players out there are annoying beggers but helpin the community by helping to make mules Hell compatable and offering to hold games so others can x-fer is a good thing.
3) Ponder the possibility of Glenn Danzig bashing in the skull of Jerry Only.
4) Deuling. Although I am not a big fan of this, getting panted by a 10yr old playing a Summon Druid really can really improve the outlook on life.
What I did like was the Iron Man tourneys. (Disappeards since Ladder season commenced)
5) Go to work.
6) Try to save all the Barbarians on the blood run and herd them up to the Crystalline Passage. I find that MS zons with a healing merc work great for this. The bottom hill isn't hard but keeping them from getting trapped in fortress wall is a Biatch.
7) Quit using the game as a reason to blow-off going to the Gym.
8) Play Counterstrike.

sounds like you need to give hardcore a try. you'll be starting clean, for one. your playstyle will go though some changes once you start dying.

First of, delete all your SC characters and start HC from scratch. Resist the temptation to use any sort of hack/cheat.
Buold a character and go have fun killing nihalatak over and over.

i tried once when bnet was going through some nasty lags. i figured, why should i get that much stress from something beyond my control?

I tried HC until both my level 60 chars got tppk'd. It stops being fun after that. Maybe if Bnet wasn't the most wretched hive of scum, villainy, and losers who can't get laid it would be fun.
