Gull Tarn

anyone know who drops gull and tarn, i have read that only king cow will drop these items, is that true

Normal Andy dropped me a Gull, as did the Weapon Rack in Mephisto's chamber (Nightmare I think.)

Have yet to find a Tarn. :(

The Cow King in Normal has a better chance than most to drop these, but they can be found from any other Monster. The Gull is a Qlvl 6 Item, so it can show up early on. The Tarn is Qlvl 20, meaninging You'll need to look in Act3 or later.

My only gull came from the Black Marsh from a zombie IIRC. It's probably easier to get in Act 1 Normal than anywhere else just because more daggers will drop. Tarnhelm is harder because it's a lowly skull cap with a high Qlvl. Items like this can be really hard to come by - the worst offenders IMHO for low TC/high Qlvl are Blinkbat's Form and Tancred's Boots. These ones are damn near impossible to find in my experience.

yes... blinkbats form is notoriously hard to find. from my experience tarnhelms and gulls aren't that hard to come by. but perfect tarns are.

Got my gull from nightmare mephi.
I got 2 tarns, one from cows normal (not king) and one from nightmare andy.
Found these having 400 mf

ya blinkbats were only sought after in pre 1.10 for speeder barbs vs zons.
but now they are only really good vs necros
