Up-grade of a Homunculus...

A quick little question...

I was thinking of up-grading my necros homunculus. Is it possible? Should go to a Bloodlord Skull if i'm not mistaken. But I've heard there are problems with some items, is this one of them?

I have an IST socketed in it, is that a possible problem too?

It works, nothing will go wrong. Except the insane str REQ for a necro :p (80 something? i forget)

Str is NOT a problem! Got about 200+ iirc (Enigma, WT's etc)

Just to be sure, the Ist will stay there?

It will stay. The only thing that changes is the base item type. Due to a bug, the base item will no longer have max defense +1 (as any item spawned with %enhanced defense) but a random value between min and max defense.

I don't think it's a bug that the base def gets rerolled when upgrading. IMO it adds spice to the process :) However, armor losing the benefit of etherealness when being upgraded most probably is a bug.

I suppose it is:

1 Ko Rune + 1 Lem Rune + 1 Perfect Diamond + Exceptional Unique Armor = Elite Version of Armor (Ladder Only)
