hi
I come from the hardcore forum and I am interested in making a Dclone killer. I looked through the stickies for Dclone smiter guides, but I didnt see any. I was wondering what you guys consider a "cookie cutter" Dclone smiter. I was thinking along the lines of:

Guillumes Face (35 cb)
Shaftstop Upgraded
T-gods
Ravenfrost
Dwarf star
Herald of Zak (upgraded?)
Heavens Light +3 socketed with 2 shaels (is this fast enough for smite? Breakpoint info would be awesome)
Goblin Toes
Draculs Grasp (laying of hands better?)
Metalgrid

This build would give +7 combat skills, 93% crushing blow, -60 attack speed weapon, Fire lit and cold absorb, Max to lit resists, 30% DR...prolly some other stuff too.

My Skills should be Max Fanat, Max Holy shield, Max smite....then maybe Res fire for the hidden bonus? What is the defense hidden bonus for defiance?

My main concern would be if I'm getting enough Resists, If my smite speed is fast enough and If this build will kill a Diablo Clone fast.

Oh and more importantly, I play hardcore so please dont suggest i use enigma, 2x Ber coa and a 4x ber 2x shael phase blade...I am trying to make a cheap and effective character with a low budget.

I dont know a whole lot about smite, but I did read that grief really rocks for smiters:

"Grief (Eth-tir-lo-mal-ral) Swords and Axes
30-40 IAS and a 340-400 increase to damage. ITD and some other mods such as –enemy poison resistance. This is not too impressive until you realize the major goof Blizzard has made in here. The added damage is not, in fact, an ED and is applicable to various skills where it becomes VERY cheap. One example is smite, vanguards on ladder are doing over 10k damage with their smite due to this one runeword! And to think a 4k smiter is considered cheap for pvp."

Thanks Darnoc for posting this link. Nice search. :)
I'm going to add the link to the Guide thread.

i believe with a mighty scepter and a lvl 23 fana aura you will need a total of 55% ias to reach the 6fpa with smite so a heavens lite with 2x shael is what 60%? so ur good with speed.

Don't liberator's usually use concentration? Mabye it's just me; I've never created one; but I seen a lot of them using it.
