View Full Version : Ench sorc,
My ench sorc is level 71 now, i got problem. I have read all ench guides here, all is diffrent, got 13 free skills.
I have max:
Warmth
Ench
Fire mastery,
Should i max frozen armor?
It's been a while since I read the Enchantress guide. Would it be possible to max Frozen Orb and then start putting points in Cold Mastery? It will definitely help with Fire Immunes. You will likely have little mana and thus be unable to shoot Orb too many times, but it will be a valuable back-up skill. Wait for others to reply as well before doing anything, as my experience with Enchantresses is limited.
Edit: I don't think the defense gain from any of the cold armors warrants putting extra points in them apart from the basic 1.

Frozen orb is a possibility but it just don't "fit" with my idea of an enchantress :)
The use of the remaining points depends on your gear (and whether your melee or ranged)
Could you provide a list of your gear?
Some options:
1) Frozen orb and a point in cold mastery (as K/T mentioned)
2) Telekenesis maxed and rest in energy shield
3) Points into lightning mastery (use gear which gives lightning damage)
And no, don't max (any of the) armor spells
I know using Orb deviates from the idea, it even seems like cheating, in fact, but there are soooo many Fire Immunes. In Hell even those little ratty Fallen bastards will be striding up and down with impunity, thumbing their little red ratty noses at you. My Enchantress is 55, and she's using Demon Machine, with a Leaf on switch. You could leave the Leaf in stash after enchanting and then equip a Wizendraw on switch, because it gives between -20% and -30% to enemy cold resistance, which will help your Orb damage, especially since your Cold Mastery won't be too high. Or will it? 13 points left over at 71. 19 more to get to 90. 32 total, assuming you have already done the Hell skill quests. 20 for Orb, 5 for prerequisites, leaves 7 points for mastery. Not bad. Level 7 Cold Mastery gives -50% to enemy cold resistance, which could go as high as -85% with Wizendraw. If you still have skill quests to do, you can get to -100% with Wizendraw.
I like the Telekinesis/ES idea, but it might require more prebuffing gear for ES. Yet more crap to fiddle around with. Luckily both Enchant and ES last forever.
Edit: Man, I must have read a ton of Dragonlance books in grade 9. They were fun.
I think if you haven't got much FCR gear anyway, and you don't have heavy lit/cold damage anywhere, TK/ES would be great. You might as well use the mana for something, and it mixes well with your maxed Warmth.

You don't need "godly" gear to make this char effective.
I would only recommend widowmaker for PvP (and then again - I don't think a ranged enchantress would do so well anyway)
Simply because of the mean, lean killing "demon machine":
+123% Enhanced Damage
+66 to Maximum Damage
+632 to Attack Rating
Fires Slvl 6 Explosive Arrows or Bolts
+66% Chance of Hit Piercing Target
+321 Defense
+36 to Mana
For PvM this is THE weapon IMHO. Piercing + exploding bolt is very effective!
As for speed you will be firing as fast with the demon as with your widowmaker with only 8 ias (Widow is 11 frames at 70 ias, demon is 11 frames at 8 ias).
This would also give some more gear options. You could "um" the shako (I have a 14 all res / light damgage jewel - thats even better!)
Switch the verdungo for arachnid and LoH with magefist and you'll get past the 63 fcr break point as well
As for charms - use lightning charms instead of poison - you can put 1 point in lightning mastery and the charms damage will be boosted!
Be sure to pre-buff enchant. An easy-and-cheap-to-get solution would be a "leaf" staff in a +3 enchant staff.

Hi,
Don't know if u are ranged enchantress or melee...
U could also place the points in CM and use a buriza... Very effective.
Another option is LM in combination with lightning jewels... (or baranar's star)
FO is the easiest I would say...
Grz,
