HELL MUST BE CLEANED OUT!!

I have had this idea for a while and finally would like to actually do it. I would like to take a group of players of all varieties of builds into hell for one heck of a game. I want to totally clean out hell. All enemies of all acts. All bosses and caves everything. i think this would be a very exciting game that could also be very profitable to the players exp and item wise. the party would stay together at all times and no soloing would be allowed. only one character of each type would be needed for this. so thats only one druid,barb,sorc,etc. i will be playing as a poison/light fury javazon(with a guided wf for back up). i think this could be a very successful game if some serious players decided to join. remember only one of each character so post your lvl and character type that you would like to bring. first come first serve. hope you guys are excited about this as i am.
(i would prefer characters that dont relie on enigma, only the sorc should be able to tele since we should be sticking together at all times)

I've attempted to clean out hell, admittedly with only 2 people, and it wasn't that easy; it was a good 3-4 hours before we got into act 3. We used a lit sorc and a summon necro (with enigma). It was quite fun, and mildly profitable. Either way, good luck, and have fun! :D

true but that was with only two people. and the sorc could not kill its immunes as well. i think 7 would be much faster IMHO. if we got a hammerdin,trapper,wind druid, meteorb, summoner or bone necro, poison/fury zon, and a killer barb i think things would go very smoothly and effectively. especially if we had some people with things like insight,conviction,might,etc. all stacked up.

Depending on when you guys want to make this run, I'd like to join in on the fun. I've got a Hammerdin, Lightning Sorc, and a Wind Druid that I could take. Whichever one is needed most is the one I'll play. I'd rather not play the hammerdin, but I'll gladly enjoy playing either the Sorc or Druid. Let me know when you plan on running this funtime, and I'll try and play. I'm usually available most nights at about 10:30 CST, or during the day until 3PM CST.

I'd most prefer to play the summon necro, and I feel he'd be the most help to the party (all curses, might merc, fanat aura from beast, and perhaps an insight iron golem if no one else has med aura).

oscuro your summoner necro was just what i was looking for in a necro. i was hoping i would get a summon necro with tons of auras.
carrothers since you applied first for the druid position i would like to have you for the windy. i'm looking for a meteorb sorc for the sorc position since i will be doing substantial lightning damage with my lvl40+ lightning fury:).

now we just need to discuss a time and date to give this a go. i will be unfortunately out of town for the weekend so hopefully i get some more applications in while im gone. i apologize for this. but anytime next week would be fine. let me know what you guys can do.

ill use him hammerdins get old after a while, and maybe ill get a act 2 merc for him and take the pride or infinity off my bowzon or javazons merc to use on the new merc. My pally will have on fanatacism and defiance, for a merc ill get one that no one else is useing for a new aura, but what would you guys rather have lvl 17 conc or lvl 12 conv?

yea thats a tough call. i of course would love the elemental resistance reduction. but i find myself jabbing alot to so either way is fine with me. we could do both auras if you feel you could trust one of us to take the runeword for the event. tell me what ya think ok with me either way. aruthra you have been accepted to the team for your zealadin.

Very cool that I got the druid slot. He was my first ever character on Battle.net this season (when I started playing online regularly). My first try I got him built the way I wanted. It's a good thing we've got a summon nNecro to rely upon, because I never really liked Druid summons except the Oak Sage. If I gain a level somewhere along the way, which I probably will, I can invest a point into the Heart of Wolverine if needed.

Besides, this is going to own, it'll be the last showing of the most blingin' Aldur's set ever. You'll see why. ;-)

For skills, I built what I'd assume to be a pretty basic wind druid.

20 Cyclone Armor
20 Twister
20 Tornado
20 Hurricane
remainder in Oak Sage

Basically, the goal was to amp up the damage on the wind skills.

For gear:
Full Aldurs Set (with extra bling, I'll show it in game, or maybe get a screenie)
Stormshield
Verdungos/Arach (I forget which)
Hellmouths
+3 Elemental Skills Ammy
BK Ring
Ravenfrost

I was going to change up his gear to the whole Hoto/Spirit/Shako/Enigma setup, but my Aldur's set has done me no wrong yet. Maybe I'll TF my Spirit Monarch over to him just to get some more plus skills. Who knows? :lol:

Gaming hours: Everyday from 10:30 PM CST till ? AM CST. (Some nights I'm on by 8:30 PM CST, just depends on my work schedule).

im thinking that if its a high item if you pick it up you get it. why not ya know. but if its something random and someone just wants it give it up. at least thats how i am seeing it. the whole LOTD thing is pretty funny but im not about to start roleplaying when i get in the game. :lol: but ok im leaving for my trip. i will be back tuesday. leave a message of when you want to try this. if i get on at my friends house i will check up on this. later crew.

Here's a pretty fair idea if everyone can be trusted:

* Pool all the "good" finds (good could be defined as something that more than one person wants)
* After the run is over, players take turns choosing one good item at a time. Stuff like gems and crafting runes could be lumped into lots if people want to collect those.

Now you just need to determine who picks first instead of choosing for every single item.

Oscuro, I find that to be a fine idea. Not that I'm accusing anyone or anything, I just don't think it's fair to "first come first serve" on the items. I mean, if a CoA and a Tyrael's drop (ungodly as that may seem), what's to say one person that's fast doesn't get both?

Just want this to be fun, and not a huge "gimme gimme" fest for a difficulty worth of drops. :lol:

oscuro good idea. we are gonna go with that. this is how we shall do this. when a item is dropped the person who pick its up announces what he has found. i will write the item down. each person does this for anything they find that they think is of worth. after baal is destroyed at the end of this massively long run. we will go back to act1. there we will drop all the items that we have found on the ground and like you said oscuro take a turn picking something that they would like. my idea is we do it by who signed up first gets first and so on. that seems fair to me. but i really dont want this to turn into what items we are gonna be getting. im just ready for doing something new for once.

Players can walk "through" skeletons and mercs no problem; players only get blocked by other players.

My 'mancer just played a bit of maggot lair tonight and had no problems.

What's everyone doing on Sunday? I don't work at all Sunday, so I'll be free all day. Although, a new Family Guy comes out then, but I'll just turn on the TV while I'm playing and pay attention to two things at once. I propose we play on Sunday.

BTW, just made a CTA, and it was a +2 BO. + FREEKING 2. GAH!!!!

Sunday during the day I don't really have any plans but, the alliance appreciation pop starts at 7PM, so from 7PM to ~10PM I will be looking for Dclone.

Could have been worse with the cta, this week I just made my 7th cta and guess what, you guessed it my 3rd self made 1bo. I am still trying for that 6bo although by now it would have been cheaper to trade for it.

Last night, me and Oscuro cleaned out Blood Moor, Cold Plains, Burial Ground, and Stony Field (as well as their respective mini dungeons). We stopped at Dark Wood, and need to get the Inifuss Scroll to open Tristram. I think he was anti-idling in the game, but I'll check.

Two of us cleaned up in no time, but I guess that's because his minions + my hurricane pretty easily munch monsters.

I've been saving the good drops, and I'll throw them into the pot. An elemental GC and a FHR/AR GC dropped last night.

Stevek, I was on earlier leveling my new hammerdin, but that ended up in bloody Realm Down. Lives were lost. The battle was tragic. Battle.net won.

I got a barb with Grief/Beast,enig, and stuff, and 2 x dooms for holy freeze, but I am pretty sure I will have to leave around 9-10 east, but if you cant find anyone, I will fill it out for a lil.

ok as of right now i dont work again til monday august 1st sunday i am busy taking my daughter to camp... so let me know as of right now the assasin is at lvl 80 she wears a fort, gaze, traps ammy, uses chaos, bartucs and the back up is jade talon and shadow killers she is looking decent an we are finally thru hell lol ( baal is missing) my aim is foxystears, yahoo is wildhartscntbetamed ( leave an offline i get them the fastest) if anyone has any better suggestions for gear please give me some help lol hope this all works this time and very sorry for last weekend had to do things for the bf and my kids :scratch: :lady: and thanks again to the sorc for the help he gave me too.

:rolleyes: i was just on d2 and well can we say killing lag still it has been like this for 2 days now last nite i refused to do a hell rush for my bf because of it... so we need to consider all that too hopefully they will fix this problem soon. ( not likely but we can hope)

I have been haveing problems with lag for a while now, but it only started a couple weeks ago. However it was never as bad as it was last night, hopefully whatever they are doing on Aug. 1st will fix it and not make things worse. But I work weekdays 8-5 so if anyone is down for doing something in the evenings or on the weekend lmk.

Foxy - For pure traps, Gaze = t3h suck. Use Shako if you're building on a budget. Shako = godly. Also, I'd ditch those claws of yours (probabaly most of them), and trade someone for some Cunning Claws (+3 to traps). You shouldn't be hitting enemies, you should be shocking/burning/exploding them to death. Give that Gaze of yours to an act 2 Holy Freeze merc (defensive - nightmare difficulty). He'll "put that to good use". :lol:

Disregard this if you're not a pure traps assassin.

I can show you my traps assassin sometime. She's not that good, but she makes her way through hell due to plus skill pwnage.

Your concept of clearing out of all monsters in all acts and diff intriques me....but am waiting to see wht the changes the new patch will bring on...as it is my fav char are sorcs....i play about 4 diff sorc types....but that might change if they nerf the tele skill with a 0.5 sec cast delay
Will wait for the patch and contact u again to see if u all still want to clear out all monsters or start all new chars.....and clear out norm, nm , and hell diff monster........

SouthernCrypt, there won't be a nerfing to teleport. The source that particular concept came from was an obviously false leak of the new patch. If you go back and look at it, it was written on July 10th, far before the patch was even announced.

Don't trust what you read, unless it comes from Blizzard, or out of my mouth. :lol:

I apologize for the double post.

However, I've been thinking a lot lately about the new patch coming out. If the new ladder resets, most of us will be playing a lot on that. If we want to clean out hell, we'll have to do it in non-ladder or else wait until we level up on the new ladder.

For me personally, if the new ladder comes, the first character I will probably make won't be my druid, as I found him to be pretty gear intensive, and I'll need to get some MF and trading under my belt.

Guess we'll see what happens when it happens.

Stevek, I'd love to give you patch info., but there simply isn't any. NONE. Nadda, zip, zilch.

The only information on the patch is that it's coming. Sometime. Anytime. Never mentions when.

We also know that on Monday, Diablo II Battle.net servers will come down for maintenence. That's all.

The point is, there is NOWHERE that states specifically that the new patch is coming out Monday. Or next week, or next year, for that matter.

The only information on the new patch is that it's coming sometime, and there's a new monster called Lilith. That's about all. From everything I know about Diablo storylines, Lilith isn't even mentioned in the back story. She could be the person that Izual sought to defeat, she could be a mysterious mother of the evils, she could be anything. Who knows.

BTW, she IS NOT the 1.07 Countess, contrary to popular belief.

lilith looks just like andy. just dark like they did to diablo when the world event starter happening. im sure its gonna be killer drops. im just curious how they are gonna spawn this one. makes me want to start this ladder again. was thinking about calling it quits after this ladder GASP!!! who knows we shall see. starting totally over sounds like a total pain in the A$$ though. done it to many times and it gets worse each time. college is just around the corner which prolly means very little d2 time anyways.
