I was wondering if it was worth it to up a Zakarums hand for a Zealot?

I know the answer to these q's is usually no but the Zak hand has a few really good mods (Namely ITD, 30IAS, 8% Mana leach) that seem to fit nicely with a Frozen Zealot build. it is almost perfect at 261% ED and get the starting base speed of -10 as opposed to the otheres scepters 0 and 10.

I figure the upped Dam would be 113-170 which is a bit less that asteons and the rest of the elite ilk. However, I was wondering if the ITD would allow me to stay at minimum dex and still be effective as a hitter. Blocking concerns should not be much with Blessed Shield.

ideally, dumping into Str (instad of investing in dex and ignoring Energy with the 8% leech) would help erase the difference in base damage. And who knows, the initial 10 point difference in weapon speed might free up a socket that would bee needed to hit Max attack speed.

Any input here?

I don't think it's worth it. First off, you should never be pumping dex for ar anyway. It's extremely easy getting enough ar from your equipment. Secondly instead of using the pul to up it why not just buy yourself a nice heaven's light? It can have 2 sockets and tons of cb as well as -target's def. Lastly, dumping your points into strength for dmg is usually a bad idea. You either go all out and dump every point in strength (i.e. a titan build) or you put all your spare points in vita. The dmg boost strength gives you is not enough to justify the loss of life imo.

Feetstench, I've often thought of doing this myself. I think shade449 is right, however. You can find or trade for something that would be better than just upping it.

Last time I got a 2 socket Heavens Light I just dropped 2 ETHs in there. -83% defense total, and unlike Ignore Target Defense, it works at some capacity on bosses.

Nord's Tenderizer is another good one that is easy to find.
