What should i socket my vipermagi with for my hammerdin?

I'd recommend a Ptopaz for extra mf. or if ur really short on res, an um rune as Leohappy said

if it has crappy res ( below 30 ) i shouldnt waste an um in it, just put that in if u really need the extra resist and got a decent viper, else a Pruby(life),Ptopaz(mf) or a shael would be nice to hit a fhr bp
